I saw his CT scan...you know how your liver is supposed to be the largest internal organ. Not anymore. His spleen is twice the size of his liver and has pushed all his intestinal organs to the left of his body. Good God!

So now we have an appointment to see the best doc but he's not available until Tuesday. GOOD GOD! This waiting game is going to just drive me crazy.

My FH's appointment is not until Tuesday. Thinking worst case scenario...He's in medical school. Just finished his second year. If he has to take a year off for chemo we're worried that his insurance might lapse. I've seriously been thinking about getting married so I can add him to my insurance. Is that jumping the gun?

Technically, all the doctors that have seen him till now have been family and friends of family, with no insurance info exchanged. Its not a preexisting condition yet. Should we rush to city hall and get married just in case?

I know it's easier said then done, but I would wait until you know what's going on. That decision will really need to be made ONLY by the two of you. When the time comes, then discuss it. I am praying for you!!!

Ladies, Thank you so much for your prayers. It's worse than we thought but there is a silver lining. It is most likely this highly treatable form of leukemia. 90% remission rate. We get definite diagnosis and determine the treatment tomorrow. Wish us luck!

One thing...
I didn't even think about fertility until my parents bought it up. Don't want this to affect the future 'grandkids'. Kind of freaked about that but surprisingly we're both very calm. The panic has kind of passed...

I was thinking of you and your FH today. You're in my prayers. I heard last night that an older lady I know was just diagnosed with the same form of leukemia that is treatable. I wish you the best
