However, since both parents contributed money to the wedding (mine more, but FH's parents also paid for the RD, so in total it was the same contribution... plus FH and I are paying for a good chunk ourselves), we will check with them to see if they would prefer different wording.

I made no mention of the reception on the actual invitation...to me, the Mass is the most important. The reception was addressed on the reception card which was enclosed with the invitation. The reception card said:
