I have been looking high and low for a dark wood (cherry) kitchen table. It has to relatively small but have seating for 4. Can be square or round. But it has to have clean lines (no country, no ornate english tudor, no colonial, etc..)
Everything I find is in light wood! What is that about?
I found a copper topped table at Crate and Barrell but its $1K without the chairs. Thats too rich for my blood.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks Elizabet, that would be absolutely perfect but its way too big. Even without the 12 inch leaf, its 5 feet across. I can do 3 at absolute most.
Essentially if the ad shows it in a dining room, its way too big. There is not much in the eat in kitchen furniture arena.

I have a Canadel set from Fortunoff. We really do not have a dining room area - just a 10x10 area off of the kitchen so I had a space problem too. Our table is 42' across but we have a leaf that we can put in to seat 6 people. The set I have is more country than I think you are looking for.
Fortunoff has lots of different stains and could meet your needs but I think the size is the bigger issue. A 36' diameter table is challenging to find. I found this pub table at Crate and Barrell's web site (37' D). It is contemporary but I can not tell if the top is Cherry finish.
