FH said we can do pocket fold invites as long as I can keep them 'cheap' yea... right... Ugh. So with that being said... do any of you know where i can get pocketfolds for $1 each or less? I'm sure it's impossible but I figured I'd ask.
Also... would you mind telling me how much you are spending on your pocketfold invites as a whole? And whether you DIY or ordered them?
Thanks so much.
I need about 120 invites, and I really don't want to spend more than $300 on invites total (not including postage)

i think cardsandpockets.com has the best deal... $1 a pocketfold...then buy cardstock
Yup, that seems to be what i'm finding. Do you think it matters how close you match the color to your wedding colors? Will people be like... 'ew, this is not the same shade of blue as the bridesmaids!'
Also... do you think it's worth the extra $$ for metalic pocketfolds? i looooove shiny things.
as much as i love the look of the metallics i dont really care that much to spend the extra money...as for colors..no one will notice lol tho of course the crazy brides we are need to match lol...but
if its a different shade of blue whose really gonna notice??
I totally agree!! its really not worth the extra money .. I got the white pocketfolds, with a tiffany blue mat, and when I printed the invites I did all black font with our names in red so I used both of our colors, and they came out great if I do say so myself ... if you want to bring in extra color you can make a tag, or even tie it with a ribbon!
Thank you! I found a 'zinc' colored pocket fold that is not metalic but it's silverish. Hopefully I'll find a mat in the right shade of blue. i think our ink color will be black. We will def be using a ribbon of some sort as well.
sounds very pretty!! goodluck! if you need help don't hesitate to FM! I just finished my 100 last night, so I feel pro now lol

Re: Pocketfold Help
I am also thinking about doing my own pocketfolds and assembling the invites. I would like the thermography on my invitations so I am not sure how that would work. Would I get my actual invitations done somewhere and then tape them to the pocketfolds? Anyone know how I can make this all work and still save some $$???

That is basically my other question... only asked in a more organized fashion.

Check out the clearance section in Kate's paperie! There are some packs of 25 pocketfolds for $17 I think. You just have to make sure they have your color in stock!
I've never heard of them. Is it a storefront or a website? Thanks for the heads up!
There is one in NYC, but the clearance pocketfolds can only be bought online. Here is the link!
Thank you so much!! I just ordered 125 pocket folds from them. I hope they look as nice in person as they do online. If not... I'm sure someone could use them, and there's always ebay lol

I found cheap plain white invites online (invitations by dawn and wedding orders) but the problem was that they were like a 1/4 inch too big for the pocketfold so now I am printing them myself on cardstock.

Its probably not really worth the extra .50 cents for the metalic, but I am getting them anyway. Its still going to be in my original invite budget so what the he!!.
