inside envelope? The last 2 weddings we were invited to the brides did not put our names on the inside envelope and I was hoping I wouldn't have to either but I don't want to be improper.....Thanks!

I did, becasue alot of my guests were inviting guests, so I did not want to write and guest on the outer envelopes, I also did not put children's names on the outside either.

I will!! I dont want any confusion over 'who' was invited. I have alot of first cousins (32 to be exact) and many of them I will not be inviting with a guest. So they need to know that....

I DID!!! I did it for two reasons (1) I didn't want to write & GUEST on outter envelope (2) I wanted to make them more personal by writing their first names or Aunt...& Uncle...

We received three wedding invitations recently - two did not and one did. We noticed.

I have to say, we did not write the guests names on the inner envelope, it was just something I did not think about but we definitely did add alot of details towards our wedding that everyone noticed and commented on. No one made a comment on their names not being on the inner envelope, I know that's something personally that I would not think twice about as a guest, I would just notice the invite. I don't mean to sound offensive but I feel like you can't make that assumption based on that one detail.

V&S is absolutely right and I apologize if I didn't phrase my comment properly. I know one cannot make a generalization, but in these instances we did see the difference. I will try to edit my post.
