for a July, Sunday evening wedding: black brides- maid dresses. I like the idea of black because it is simple, elegant, and flattering for mostly everyone, but some have voiced that black is inappropriate for the summer. Others have said it is elegant and appropriate for an evening wedding at anytime of the year. Opinions please . . .

I think black is elegant any time of year, it definitely is flattering on everyone. I'm surprised I didn't use black for my girls, that is my favorite color. I decided to go with wine.

I appreciate all of your responses. I thought I was right. Some family members had said that black is nice, but not for a July wedding. I felt black is universal. Thanks again
