I'm about to send out my invites, so i'm curious to find out the results of this poll as well.

Yeah, we had just about 20% decline.

We invited about 150 people and had 100, so our decline was 33%.

I am not a 'past' bride yet, but my rsvp date is this coming tues and all i can say is that we are NOWHERE near the 20% mark....i wish we were! A lot more people said 'yes' than we anticipated!!!!

we surprisingly had nearly like 35-40% no.

We had more than 20% say no...more like 50%. It truly was a bad situation when you needed to guarantee 100 seats.

On my side we had almost no one say no, like 2%- everyone is very local; my DH had no one local - everyone that was invited was from out of state - so that pushed our no responses over 20% but we expected that.

i hope this applys for me!! we can have a max of 155 in our room and we are inviting 165 because some out of country people said they may come and we were not going to invite them originally.

we had a lot more than 20% say no... I'd say it was more around 40%. Unfortunately almost all of DH's family declined... it was very sad.

I am shooting for at least 20%. I would ideally want to be no more than 10 ppl over our minimum.

I have about 95% of my responses.... only 3 left.... That means our no % is between 15-18%, roughly. (Almost all of these are people overseas which we knew couldn't come....)

I'd also like to know if the no% rule of 20% is consistant in both SMALL and LARGE weddings...

I wonder if small weddings like ours, where immediate family makes up almost 1/2 the guest list would have a higher % acceptance rate than large weddings where more distant relatives and friends are included

We had a large wedding (invited 429 people) and we had a 24% no response rate.

We had a good number of people change their answers from yes to no after the response date.
