they are both tough.... wed is the biggest travel day of the year, very expensive to fly, lots of traffic. Also, lots of delays in the airports. Plus, lots of people want to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner.

Fri seems a lot better, because it's in the middle of a loooooooong weekend, although it's black friday! however, those who want to shop can still shop and nap before the wedding, and those who need to travel can do so. As long as you arent getting married at the mall you should be OK.

What about Sat or Sun? (afternoon or night) Also, are you set on that weekend?

I say the Friday after even though its black friday..just because the Wed before, for me, is BRUTAL! We have Thanksgiving at my house and there is so much preparing going on that it is NUTS and I'm sure its like that for a lot of people. Then factor in traveling and all the delays on that day and it could be a killer! At least on Friday all the running around is done and you can just relax and let loose and enjoy and look foward to the weekend.

If thats the first quote the RH gave to you, I'd call back and see if they can knock $5 off the price for Friday for you..it'll still be a $750 difference but I think it's worth it....you don't want a ton of people leaving your wedding early because they have things to prepare for the next day..

I think the Friday after. Only because most people are away to their Holiday locations on the Weds before Turkey Day. Also, most people have to wake up early and prepare the food on Thursday morning. I think it is better the Friday after... Plus, most people are off that day.

I would say the Friday after because I honestly I would not want to go to a wedding the day before because then you have no time to cook and prepare for Thanksgiving. Especially being a teacher, you need that night before to get the house and everything ready. But just my opinion.

Friday does sound like the better choice but do what works best for you and FH, remember this....no matter what day you choose your close friends and family will be there no matter what

I agree about Friday - I would not be able to go to wedding the day before Thanksgiving nor would anyone in my family - too much cooking. However, black Friday is a great day to have a wedding

i agree with the other girls... the day before a big family holiday would be really tough! however, it depends on your guests... if they are all local, then it might work. talk to your friends and family and see what they think.

I think Friday because Wed. alot of people go out of town for the holiday and also alot of people bake and cook on that Wed.

You want the day to be all about you! You dont want to have to worry about any of the above.

Do it on the Friday.... traffic will be brutal on the Wednesday and airfares are most expensive at that time. you may have people actually decline your invite if it's on the Wednesday. Also, people that are hosting Thanksgiving have to do most of their cooking and cleaning and prep. work on the Wednesday and having your wedding on Wednesday could mess up their plans for Thanksgiving.,

I empthaize with your cost concerns... i've been there! but having the people i want there, not delayed and having people actualyl at the cremony would be more important to me!

i honestly think they both kinda suck! the day before everyone traveling and getting ready for thanksgiving, and the friday after people are out shopping and some ppl HAVE to work and have no choice....

the wednesday i say no because a lot of people are cooking, travelling and getting ready for thanksgiving the next day
i think friday is ok, but i also think a lot of people do things on the day after thanksgiving, some like to relax, go home if they travelled or go shopping. so if i had to choose i say the Friday

I picked Friday because if you did Wednesday I think a lot of women wouldn't have the best time because they'd be busy thinking about how much work they have to do for Thanksgiving.

I think people would also really welcome it on Friday because it would give people an excuse to stay away from the leftovers for a day!

I kinda of think both dates are a little inconvenient. Wednesday has to be the worst traffic day. If you have people coming from out of town November is one of the most expensive times to fly.

Friday can be kind of hectic too because of black Friday and also think about how you may feel getting ready for your wedding on Thanksgiving Day. Again referring to people who have to travel they may have miss Thanksgiving with their families to make to your wedding because they would have to be here on Wed or Thursday.

You may also have trouble booking vendors because what if they do not want to work the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I pick friday. IMO.. A lot of people are going to be extremely busy the day before Thanksgiving, this may mean less people being able to attend.

Definitely Friday...personally I would not want to go to a wedding the night before Thanksgiving, even if it was 10 minutes from my house! If any of your friends or relatives live any distance away I think the Wednesday wedding will be very inconvenient and they might pass on coming at completely because of the holiday the next day.
