I want 1 - but every person I talk to who is an only child says I should have at least 2! And being that I have to give birth to the child, don't really care what DH wants!

Marnles---coming from an only child definately have more than one. I loved the attention and being spoiled but I sooo longed for a brother or sister. I was so jealous of my friends who would talk about theirs

Honestly, as many as were are blessed with (and can handle). We decided not to put a number in our head and to take it one at a time. If we decide one is enough, we'll stop there. If we have 5 and want and can afford more, we'll keep going.

I am one and always longed for a brother or sister.

Also, I lost someone to an accident & he was an only child and I am not saying losing a child if you have 2 is easy, but when you are left with none, it's the worst thing I ever saw and I saw it firsthand.

Jenn - I hear ya...I'm just scared of it is all...not of having kids, but having multiple kids...

But who knows what the Lord's plan is for me - I just hope for the best...

I am an only and I have always wanted a sibling. I am so jealous of those with siblings. and to think I always wanted to marry a man that had lots of siblings, nope I am marrying a man that is an only as well

Wow Chip-pretty weird, 2 onlies. FH only has one older brother. If it weren't for him i'd have no nieces or nephews.
