POLL: How many children do you want?

and it's ok to say zero if you don't want any!!!

I told FH that I want seven and he said he wants to be able to enjoy his retirement, not be driving kids to kindergarden still I'll be happy with 3 or 4

Dani when he told me he was an only I thought he was lying (he does however have a half brother and sister but I dont really count them)

definately 2...if I can live through having 2 then maybe 3. My dh has twins in his family (his sister has a twin boy and girl) so who knows?? I might be kidding myself though...I cry like a baby when i get a papercut!

I want 2 FH wants 2 maybe 3. PLEASE don't have one - I have always wanted a sister or brother - but b/c of my mother breast cancer - at the time they didn't know better and told her it wasn't safe for her to have a second child (I was 18 months at the time) so they only had me and I know they wanted more.

ThreeTwenty - you don't want to have any children? Is there a reason?

I guess I'm like everyone else...2-3. I definately want at least one of each, that's where I try for #3 if I don't get it. If Idon't get one of each after my 3rd, I'll stop!

I just cannot stand children! They drive me looney! I think it's just the way people raise them today-no discipline and they are out of control! I can't believe the way some kids talk to adults, teachers, strangers, etc....If I ever disrespected anyone like that I would've gotten WACKED right upside the head-and you know what? I would have learned my lesson! FH can't stand them either, when we go to restaurants we ask to NOT be seated by any children. It drives me insane when people let their kids run wild while they sit and enjoy themselves.
I am sooo not motherly!! When there are babies around, and everyone is going nuts over them, I just couldn't care less. My SIL is prego and I'm trying so hard to be excited....Hopefully after I have a niece/nephew I'll warm up a little!!!

One, if any... but FH wants kids, badly


It is one of our main fights.

We both have twins on both sides of our families, so maybe we will both get what we want... one pregnancy, two kids.

I would love to have 6. I grew up as one of 6 and have loved the good times and the bad.

However, being as we don't have any yet and we are in our early 30's already, 2 or 3 I hope for.

ThreeTwenty FI's aunt with the 5 kids I call them the birth control kids. 5 minutes with them I swear woman would run out and have their tubes tide. These kids are not disciplined and if they were my own children I swear I would have them locked in a closet. They are animals.

Did anyone watch Montel williams today. It was large families. One couple had 14 kids. the oldest was 22 and the youngest a few months.

I definitely want 1 (and good thing I do, because #1 is on the way! ), MAYBE 2, depending on a lot of things. Patrick is leaning toward 2, but he says it's up to me. If we do have 2, it will be one immediately after the other. I am much older than my sister and brother, and we had a pretty distant relationship until we were adults. I would like my children to be friends.

We have one already and we'd like to have another. I can't say whether we'd have more, I think perspective changes wih experience so before I'd say anything about a 3rd child, I'd see how it goes with 2.
