Just curious: newly engaged and wondering if most couples, like in our situation, have to pay for most of the wedding themselves. If it's too nosy aq uestion, you don't have to answer. Thanks!

Each of our parents are contributing to the wedding but we are paying for most of it.
The majority of the wedding (over 51%) was paid for by me, then DH made some contributions and finally my Mom gave us money toward our HM as a gift. DHs parents paid for the RD.

both of our parents are paying for almost the entire wedding (his parents are paying more though since they are hosting it in their hometown). I'm chipping in about 5k, and FH is paying for the HM.

welcome & congratulations!
My inlaws gave us a very generous early wedding gift which helped pay for most of our wedding and our RD and my mom & stepfather gave us our HM as a wedding gift. We paid the rest. But we went into the planning thinking we were paying 100%.

my parents are paying for everything. his parents paid for a large chunk of our honeymoon though... and they are paying for the rehearsal dinner as well.

We're paying for basically everything, except
my mom is paying for my gown and my sister and BIL are paying for my flowers.
my mom can't really afford to contribute anything else, and FH's parents have refused to pay for anything. they won't pay for the RD because jewish people don't commonly have the and they wn't put anyhting toward the wedding itself because we won't invite my wretch of a FSIL

My parents gave me some money to put towards it, but fh and I put that into our house that we just bought so we are mostly paying for it
