All the weddings I have been in, the BP paid. However, usually the moms will pay for like the favors or some part of the shower. KWIM?

my mom paid for about 75% and my girls paid the rest.
sometimes showers can be a bit $$ to add onto the BP expenses of dresses, shoes, makeup, hair, shower gifts, and bach party...didn't want them to have to pay so much for the shower too

I have been in BP's where we pay, but my mom is paying for mine, she thinks it is asking a lot of the bridal paty

I always thought it was the BP as well but one of my BM's insists it is the mother and MOH that pay. I guess it's really based on who is involved and willing to pay

for my friend... her mom is paying...
we (her BP) are paying for the favors, decorations, games, prizes, centerpieces, etc.

my 2 MOH's paid for my shower. i think it really depends on the family. if my MOH's didn't throw it, i would not have had one.

It really depends. Traditionally, I think its the mom, but I know my mom was not able to take that on especially with the help she is giving for the wedding So my BP all chipped in for it.
I have been in quite a few bp's and half we paid and half the mom paid. So it really is case sensitive

I always thought the BP paid, but then came to find out they all had my mother pay, I was a little PO'd at this, because I really didn't need one, and my parents paid for too much of the wedding, so it really made me sad

My mom is paying for mine. Although I think FMIL told FH that she would pay for each of her guests that she wants invited. Which i thought was extremely nice.
My 2 younger sisters are my MOH so there is no way they will be paying for it. And my other 3 BMs are all still in college- grad and undergrad and i know they arent well off in money well at least they say they arent
but i think my mom will ask them to chip in for favors or have my sister make them (she is going to school for culinary arts, pastery chef) and decorations or games etc. little things ya know!

i've always thought the mom pays, i only recently realized that some bp's pay...i dunno, i feel bad about any of them having to pay...in all honesty i wish i could pay for it since it's for me. that's just how i am. but i can't. maybe next yr i'll compensate by taking my mom away some where nice.

My mom and my sister MOH are paying. But my cousins fiances bridal party is paying for hers. I guess it all depends.

tradition states bridal party (i voted for that) BUT my mother offered to pay for mine entirely since i have a tiny bp and i have a guy as one of my bp.

My mom paid for the place/catering...my BP paid for the invites and the favors.
This is also the way it's been done for all the other weddings I've been a BM in.
