My florist suggested the kissing balls to us b/c my church doesn't allow anything to be tossed.
The same with us. We aren't allowed to have anything thrown on the beach. I was going to have her a special bouquet. Mini Roses, different from all the other girls.

Mine doesn't either...but the baskets will have regular flowers instead of petals in them. I love the pomander idea but I know that they'll get crushed.

My church wont let my flower girls toss anything eaither they are afraid of a law suite if someone slips because the floor is tile uhh. But my florist is going to help me with another idea because she says she wont recemnded the kissing balls because once you put them down they get messed up so by the time you get to the church they are a mess... I don't know what i'm going to do.
If you use silk flowers they'd probably last....cause the petals won't get smooshed or fall off.

I love the kissing balls! I want to do them for my flower girls and I also thought of making them to help decorate the tent and put on the church pews. I was going to try and make them myself as soon as I pick my BM dresses. Better Homes & Gardens did a Wedding Flowers issue and there are some really pretty pictures in there of kissing balls. There is a bridal one that is so pretty in case anyone is interested.

I am using this for my flower girl.FYI my florist said that if the girls are young it makes more sense to actually make the 'ball' with silk flowers. She said using real flowers becomes very heavy, the silk look the same, and the girl can keep it for a long time- oh, and it is less expensive-about $35.

I made my Jr. Bridesmaid (she just turned 9) this flowerball...it was super easy and cost about $20 bucks to do! Here is a pic of it...
