Postpartum Illness thesis: Looking for stories... ladies please share.

Well ladies, I decided to write about postpartum depression. I was hoping Iyou would share your experiences if you had any with the disorders I speak about below. You can share it here or fm me if you feel more comfortable. I would truly appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

So far I have written about 5 problems/postpartum disorders. Baby blues, postpartum depression, postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder/attacks, and postpartum psychosis. If any of you have experienced any of the above, would you mind sharing a short story….. how you felt once the baby was born, what your symptoms were, did you get help and from whom (meaning, counselor, pychiatrist, etc), how were you treated (medication, relaxation techniques, etc), what was the official diagnosis. Finally, what were your feelings about having gone through this? Did you feel embarrassed, ashamed, just happy you were treated? Etc…..

I know this is very personal information, and I really appreciate any stories you may be able to provide. I asked my professor if I needed last names, and she said it is preferred, but if you are not comfortable providing that, a first name will be just fine with me. I thank you in advance for your help. And of course, if you are interested in reading my paper once it’s done, I would love to share with you all.
