Re: posts
i don't really understand the point of making up a fake name just to ask a question... if its something that truly bothers you, you shouldnt have a problem saying it under your real name, but whatever.
anyway, to answer your question- i dont really know what to tell ya. I dont think its a popularity contest- people respond to what they have answers to or opinions on. I dont answer every thread i read, nor do i 'decide' to answer or not based on Who the original poster is... i really dont put all that much of a thought process into it

Re: posts
I think people reply to the post that are interested in and that they WANT to reply to.
wanting attention all of the time is not a good thing.

i respond to people based on the size of their prom hat.
So yes, Size DOES matter.
Wait, that wasn't the question, was it?

Re: posts
I don't respond to every post that i read. i'll only respond if i actually have something to add to it, not just to respond for the sake of it. Therefore my total number of posts will never be that high... oh well
For me, this site is about getting ideas, support and suggestions from other women about planning a wedding, which is something i've never had to plan before. So if someone posts something like 'i don't like cake' then i'm not going to respond 'i do' unless they ask for a response. Some people use the site for different purposes than others i guess.

Re: posts
why? because this liw and nothing is at it seems.
why should it bother you who responds to what? if i read a thread on the watermill, i don't respond b/c i'm not getting married there. i don't have an opinion on everything and i just read stuff to kill time at work.

huh?
But to add to this, I only respond if I actually have something to say or contribute...otherwise, how could I repond with nothing to say?

nothing as it seems, meaning that what seems like a nothing thread turns into huge drama before you know it

Re: posts
I don't think it's fair to jump on confused1234 for asking this question - sometimes it does seem, a general post by one person gets more response than from another. But, I don't think it's intentional - it's probably just based on our moods or who's on the boards at that time.
I know there have been times when I wondered the same. I'd post something general like, 'I ordered my BM dresses' and I'd only get one congrats. Some people post the same and have 3 pages of hugs.
Like I said, I don't think it's intentional, but I also see no reason to make confused1234 feel bad for posing the question. Maybe her feelings have been hurt.

Re: posts
i'm not 'jumping' on her. but i find it odd that she starts this thread and doesn't respond to what anyone is saying. now this thread is getting a lot of action, while others are not....
