PreCana

My church doesn't do Pre-Cana and they had me call another parish that is nearby; however the times will not work for my FH and I. So my question... ...how did everyone find the parish that worked well for them in terms of pre-cana...calling around? or looking at the diocese website? I'm thinking the one day or weekend precana would work best...thanks everyone!

I just went with the one my church offered. It was three 2-hour sessions on Thursday nights. Pretty quick and painless for us.

ETA: guess I'm really not much help, lol. I'd try checking with the diocese if your church doesn't have any other suggestions.

when i called i had them sent me registration forms to fill out along wth a paper that had all churches and what time and how many times they had precana..u can also register online and see all the churches

just a note though,im in queens so dont know if its diffrent for long island..hth

My church (St. Pats of Bay Shore) only does Pre-Cana on Saturdays from 8-4 and Sunday from 8-11. (Or, the times are similar to these!)

Contact the Diocese of Rockville Centre, they will give you a list of churches that run pre-cana and times. You can also go to the website and look there.
