Sorry ladies, but I have to vent. When my older sister announced she was preggers the week before my engagement party, after 2 seconds of- why now- I was over it and have been buying the baby presents ever since and cannot wait!! Then, when I found out my cousin who is in my BP will give birth 3 weeks before my wedding, I was annoyed but so happy for her and glad that she has already said she won't be bringing the baby or her 2 year old, mainly because, I want her to be able to stay all night and enjoy herself. This weekend though, one of my BM announced she's due Feb. 26th. My wedding is Feb. 24!!!! She wasn't supposed to start trying till January. I'm sorry, maybe it's just me, but if I were in a BP, I would make sure I do not get pregnant in the window period which I might possibly give birth at the wedding!!!! I don't care if someone is pregnant at the wedding or gave birth right before it, but there is a VERY good chance she will give birth AT my wedding!!! I don't even want her to come. Of course I'll invite her, but she won't be a member of the BP (we discussed it- I didn't just kick her out) but I really don't want her water bursting all over the dance floor. Besides, would anyone want to go to a wedding, in another state, 2 days before your due date?!?!?!!?!?!

OK, I know you're getting a lot of flack for your post but I honestly see some merit in what you're saying. Not that people should plan their family around your wedding, I don't think you were trying to say that. BUT when you ask poeple to be in your wedding, if they are planning to start a family, I think it would be nice if they let you know that they will possibly be preg. My FSIL is preg. and due in January/Feb,. which is shortly b4 the wedding, that is totally cool, She's been trying to get preg since her last child (which is 7) so I am extremely happy for her. And even if she was preg. at the wedding it would've been fine with me. If she was due the week of my wedding, I think I would be a little nervous too and might have had a talk with her about her being a BM (although she would've been at the wedding either way so what's the diff if she's dressed or not, right?) Another one of my BM has also informed me that she might be preg. at my wedding they would like to start trying in Jan. But if she got preg. now what could I do right? That's just life and I guess I would just have to accept it. Anyhow, I think I understand what you're going through, you just want your girls to eb there with you on your day since you've been a part of their wedding and you're just frustrated witht he situation. Hang in there, like you said stuff happens. XOXOXO Kitty

Re: Pregnant BM rant
Honestly, FH's brother had one of his GM's wife go into labor at their rehearsal dinner. Obviously there isn't anything that can be done - and everyone went out after the dinner awaiting that phone call...She was born on their wedding date!! Yes - they were missing a GM, but you deal with it. I'm sure they didn't TRY to make sure they got a due date at the same time as your wedding! It could very well be a case like a girl I work with who didn't think they would get pregnant so fast and was in shock to find they were.

All I can say is 'Wow' too... I can't beleive you have had 3 BM get pregnant...I understand your frustration because this is your special day and you want these special ladies to be apart of it...but they all have little munchkins inside of them...that is such a blessing of its own!
One of my BM just had her second child and now her hubby wants #3 (but for her everytime someone gets married she is pregnant and she always says she wish she could have a drink and have more fun & not be designated driver... we joke around to try to hold out until our wedding so she can live it up...(I keep saying stay at our hotel and conceive baby #3 on our wedding night & there wedding anniversary) We did an oops...we are getting married on the same day as our really good friends (the wife is one of my BM and husband is one my FH BM) so we will have the same anniversary
Good Luck!

sweety why dont u just find another BM to save urself the headache. I would never expect anyone to plan thier baby around my wedding. I just dont think its fair to expect that of someone.

My MOH had the same thing happen. Her cousin and her husband were both in the bridal party and she got pregnant. MOH and her spoke about it and she decided that her and her husband would step back. Her cousin decided it b/c she didn't want her pictures to have her pregnant in them. eta: it'll all work out just keep an open mind

Ok... This is the first time in history that I am going to use this icon...
ETA: I am sorry but I needed to add that you should be thankful that your friends and family are being blessed with children... it is very hard for some people to even have children... you need to stop and think for a second how selfish you sound.
