Priscilla of Boston dress fitting (added front photo for those who asked)

My dress was in so I went to do my fitting - it fit perfectly (I lost 9 lbs since I tried it on then though) but all they are going to do with it is add a french bustle. So far I have been extremely pleased with their service and with the dress

The dress was originally high necked and I had them custom make it strapless.

OK please excuse the NO makeup and the hideous thrown up hair

I didn't need any alterations - I was prepared for a HUGE bill (I almost bought a dress at saks and they wanted almost $400) I only needed the bustle - but I am losing weight so if I lose anymore I might need to take it in I have lost 8-10 lbs since I had my fitting - but the bustle cost $100. Which I thought was cheap - they do it with color ribbons -

...wow, $100 is cheap! what do you mean by color ribbons??

Color ribbons - they do this often- so all your bm's do is match the ribbons and tie - they say they are light color and WILL NOT be seen

THAT is the super coolest thing i have ever heard!! what a great idea! my sister's bustle had hooks and they ripped out not even an hour into the reception - i had to keep sewing them all night - and she paid $400!!! i think ribbons are a much better idea! thanks for the info!!

You look great!!! That's the dress I wanted first, but I also didn't like the high neckline.
They did an awesome job making it strapless.Beautiful!

but, just one more question. the neckline -- is it straight across or does it dip down in the middle? it looks like it's a slight sweetheart in the pics.

Yes it is - didn't they give you a choice? They brought out like 10 different dresses for me to look at the neckline and decide exactly what mix I wanted

yes it is, which ?? sweetheart or straight? they didn't give me a choice, but i vaguely remember my saying squared off, i'm going to call and make sure ... thanks!
