I wasn't planning on doing programs, but we are having a Jewish ceremony and FH's family is not Jewish. I was thinking that it might be nice to have something to explain the different traditions for the non-Jewish guests.
For example, chuppah, kettubah, the breaking of the glass etc...
So .. Should I just have a pretty piece of paper with the items and an explanation or should I do a whole formal program. How hard are programs to DIY?

hey there! i did DIY programs....i didn't use a template or anything - just what i had in my head. All that is really crucial is a paper cutter.... It was a pain to get the first one perfect, but once i had measurements for each layer, it was a piece of cake. u just right down the measurements of how each layer will be cut, and just cut away! I also used a 3 column layout in Microsoft word for the typing(which made it really easy) i used double sided tape to hold it all together and hot glued the little applicee on top. it really wasnt to difficult once i got the initial one the way i wanted. you also might want to post this on the DIY board...good luck! And i think it would be really nice to do a formal program and have a page of it explain all the traditions what a nice idea! anyways, here's a photo of mine!

A friend of mine did this, both families Jewish but, most friends weren't. She had a really nice one, quite a few pages but, it was a small boxed one. It explained everything and both in Hebrew and English. I still have it after 6 yrs,lol.
