Re: PSA for brides
I have been reading this post.... TWO HUNDRED & FOURTEEN RESPONSES!!! And the funny part-- the responses started out angry, then got playful--playing detective, joking around... all the LIW girlies online at work--- then... watch the timing of the posts-- after 5:00 some LIW girls who weren't online at work got home & started reading & the replys got all angry again! WHO NEEDS REALITY TV??? THIS STUFF IS GREAT!!(but seriously, FM me too if you know whothe bride is I am SOOOO going to lose sleep over it!)
I LOVE THE LIW BOARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: PSA for brides
Wow...what a long thread!Well, IMO posting something like this for the bride to see instead of discussing it like an adult...to her face...is not a nice or 'mature' thing to do. So, was this supposed to not increase her stress level? I think it would put a bride's stress level through the roof to have that type of betrayal. As far as splitting couples up...in seating I would not do that...but am I supposed to force FH to ask people to be in his BP just so it can match up is rediculous. I am having my BM's sit with their dates..and they can dance w/ them too. Didn't you say you are bringing a date? Or actually, you said you were married...why can't your husband bring you home? I have never heard of the bride and groom providing transport home for their bridal party when they are bringing dates.
Honestly, you need to stop thinking about yourself...it's not your day. I don't know why she is having makeup and hair done so early, but maybe there is a reason. Are you all taking pictures EARLY maybe? If she is requiring it to be done, and she's paying for it, what's the problem? would you rather pay hundreds of dollars more for it?
You may have had some valid points, I'll give you that. However, your approach was not the best and may have cost you your friendship w/ the bride to be anyway. Wouldn't it have been easier to just have declined in the 1st place?
Anyway...If Taylor Hicks wins American Idol I'm never going to watch that show again!

'Wow....believe me the hair and make up is a GIFT....we are paying alot of money for it and the girls really appreciate it. If they dont want it done, thats up to them.'
It's not up to me. i was told I AM to show up at 8 am for a 4:00 pm wedding. i was told I MUST get my hair & make up done. These were not 'oh if you'd like I'll pay for...' no this was 'this is the timeline, this is where you will be, this is what you are having done to you. Deal with it.'
So it IS putting me out. And it is NOT a gift.
Maybe u need to tell your friend all this stuff instead of creating a account on LIW ..
YOU SAID IT BEST!

Re: PSA for brides
Funny story:I was MOH at my sis's wedding and my FI was a GM. well we obv didn't get matched up for anything, which i was totally fine with (in fact it didn't even occur to me that it should be different). However, for the dancing part after the first dance, the BestMan was married to one of the BridesMaids and he danced with her instead of me- which left me walking around like an idiot on the side of the dance floor looking for a partner, hehe. i wouldn't have cared that he did that, i just wish someone told me before i was dancing with myself! My FI and sis (BM) took me into their circle when they saw me standing lonely, hehe.

Maybe we could have a debate here. The bride in one corner and the disgruntled bridesmaid in the other corner. An LIW showdown!!
My money is on bridzilla!!!!

Can someone PLEASE tell me who you are (the bride that is that supposedly saw this thread) I am just curious..![]()
I am not saying who it is but if you look at the dates of the wedding prior to when she posted it, there is only one that fits the timeline......
During the reception the WP will sit with their dates,my MOH and the BM will walk into the RH together and will have to dance the first dance together......there are two couples in our WP and they are paired.....and some are married and their spouses aren't in the wedding party.....one song isn't so terrible, then they are free to do what they wish....except my BMs have to dance with me to one song. They were able to choose whether they wanted hair and make up done, and only had to choose silver shoes....whatever style they wanted.....and I found a place with a variety of choices for around $20
So to come on her lecturing all of us is RUDE. Yes, you have a right to be upset, but you could have said No, but where do you have the right to lecture us?

Re: PSA for brides
This is a complete fabrication of the truth. The entire story has been exaggerrated beyond recognition!! I know the bride persoannly and she is just sick about this whole thing. Afterall her wedding is in 4 days, not 2 weeks. Her FH has banned her from the computer until after the honeymoon. I don't have time to get into complete detail but for her sake I must set the story straight. The girls were talking last night about what lunch to serve and tuna was suggested. The MOH passed a comment about bad breath, not the bride. She was just tryiing to think of something quick and easy to serve.
Hair and makeup was not demanded, she just didnt think anyone would object to free hair and makeup and no couples are being separated except to enter the RH and walk down the aisle. The BestMan is married to one of the BM and he will already be up at the alter with the groom. She does not have to dance with a stranger and she will most certainly be seated with her husband.
There were no demands made about shoes or hair peices either. Just requested that shoes be purchased from the same place so that the dyes match. The hair peices were a suggestion as well as to where to get them and was also requested that they compliment the color of the dress.
Transportation from the RH was never discussed and was understood by the rest that dates and or freinds or family members would carpool.
I don't know what else was brought up in this year long post, but I can assure you it is not as it seems to be. Yes some brides can act in ways that are a tad bit crazy, but its because they get caught up in all the details. After it's all said and done, they return to the planet earth and realize some of these things were really not as impirtant as they seemed to be....perhaps this needs to happen for this angry BM.....
The only thing I ask of all of you who are enjoying this thread is to please say prayers for this bride that all goes well on her big day. No one should have to go through this just 4 days before her wedding day. It should be one of the happiest days of her life to be spent with her closest and dearest friends and family wishing her only the best.

Re: PSA for brides
i think the original poster is a jealous crazy bit*ch. So tell that bride to enjoy her day, relax, stay off this site and let us know how it all went after the wedding. Sorry this person has caused her such stress 4 days before the wedding, she is obviously a hateful, mean spirited person who is not a true friend.Welcome New Vendors
