Puppet Making

We are doing Bring Your Kids to Work Day in 2 weeks and one of our projects is puppet making. Any good websites? Some materials that I was thinking are:

socks
popsicle sticks
googly eyes
pom poms
sequins

any ideas are welcome

maybe some felt?

BTW I had a puppet class in college - making real puppets is not as easy as one might think!

I love pipe cleaners(is that what they are called, I never realized it was such an odd term) but anyway, they can be used for mustached and eyebrows
