So my question of the day is:DOES YOUR WEDDING DATE HAVE SOME SENTIMENTAL VALUE OR SIGNIFICANCE??
Initially, when we were finding a wedding date there was no significance. We decided let's get the cheapest Saturday night.
Ironically at Leonard's it turned out to be my dads birthday, march 23rd. At first i was like no, that's just weird.
Back story: My dad had a really bad year. He almost died and was placed on the heart transplant list. One point he was too sick to even make it through the surgery, his whole body shut down. They put him into a sedated coma for a while and by the grace of god, he woke up stronger and was a recipient of a new heart at 67 years old!
Also In my family 119 variation seems to be a common theme
My bday 1/19
Brother 11/9
Grandfather 11/19/1919
the 323 day of the year is 11/19
And from 3/23 to 11/19 is 119 days apart!
My dad realized the last two, while he was in the hospital.
I guess he was bored lol
Since the day numerically fits in (im not typically into that) and my father told me while he was sick that all that he asked for was to live long enough to able to walk his daughter down the aisle.
It's a celebration of two lives, our marriage and my fathers ability to make it through a hard time. Since marriage takes love, hard work and a little bit of luck
It then felt right, almost like it was meant to be.

That is such a wonderful story! Isn't it strange how things work out?My day doesn't really have significance, we just both love Fall, that is why we chose September...
But after we booked we realized it can still be VERY hot in September LOL

We picked March 23 because its a Saturday night and it is the beginning of a school vacation (I'm a teacher). But we also got engaged on March 23rd and met on January 23rd so it is ironically convenient.

My sister (teacher too) was shocked my day was open for that very reason a lot of teachers would want to book that day.

Awesome dates, I love these stories! FH and I wanted 7/8 or 8/7 for our birthdays/fav #'s but they are not weekends in 2013. So we did 7/7/13 and now we just say lucky 7's!!

We love sentimental dates, we have a special anniversary on 12-12 every year, kinda the day we fell in love. (Long story :) ) and we got engaged on 11-11-11. We wanted a special date for the wedding, but ended up just picking the best Saturday that worked for us.

We tried to get 10/12 because 10/11 is when we officially became boyfriend/girlfriend (2013 will be our 10 years together!), but our church was leaving this date open for confirmations at the time. We went with 9/21 just because it's a Saturday and it's the first day of Fall.

No significance, we wanted a spring wedding but then fell in love with our venue which was out of budget for June. They gave us a great deal for feb so now were keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn't blizzard!!

What a beautiful story! I wanted the date to be a cool number so it was either 7/27 or 7/13/13.

all of our 'firsts' were in september, mostly on mondays... which works out to fridays in 2013 due to 3 years + one leap year .... so ours is our first kiss anniversary!!we originally wanted our 'dating' anniversary 9/27 but that is also fbil's 10 yr wedding anniversary so we couldnt steal it!
