So after yesterday's essay length response question, I decided to keep it short & sweet today!
When was the first time you & FH said 'I love you' to each other? Who said it first? What were the circumstances? How long into the relationship was it? Are you happy with when you said it? Did you ever regret it?
Ok, so not that short. I have issues being concise!![]()
The first time FH & I said it to each other was about 3 weeks into our relationship. We were both rather buzzed, and I started pouring my heart out to him about all these family troubles and such.
We had a heart to heart for awhile, and then he stopped and he said, 'I hope you don't think I'm crazy' (since we hadn't been together that long), 'But I love you.'
And I responded with 'I don't think you're crazy because I love you too.'
THEN, I made him swear up & down that he would still love me in the morning. I'd had experiences in the past where someone told me they wanted to be with me while they were drunk, an then as they sobererd up changed their minds. So I was nervous, but I trust him, and trusted him then too. And it was perfect. I remember when I was leaving his house the next morning, I was standing by my car and he hugged and kissed me, and then said 'I love you' again, and I was so happy. NEVER regretted it for a second!

we were about 3 months into the relationship and we were at this really romantic restaurant celebrating my birthday. he said it at desert time,i said it right back. it was perfect! ![]()

FH said it to me about 3 months after we officially started dating. We had already known each other for about 8 months. He actually said it after a silly fight we were having. We were at a party and I guess after we made up from the fight it made him realize that he really loved me. I didn't think he was serious lol so I was like what!? And then he said it again, and I kissed him! From then on he said it every time we said goodbye to each other, either on the phone or in person.

FH and I had been dating unofficially for 6 months plus an official month when he said it (so...7 months into our relationship). It was 4th of July and he was TANKED and I was sober. He said, 'I love this girl' to someone else while I was sitting there. Then he turned to me and said it. I said, 'okay' because I really didn't know what to make of it. I loved him, but he was so drunk...
Anyway, I drove him home that night (stopping every few minutes for him to puke outside) and it was dropped. Then we started pointing to each others' hearts and say 'mine,' which was our little way of saying I love you. Then, finally, he said it to me when we were getting ready for bed one night. I said it right back! And he told me he meant it from the 4th, but since my reaction was only, 'okay,' he didn't want to say it again until he knew I would say it back.
