Ok, so my topic for today is.......BABIES!!!

I know some of us are really young, some of us are older, some of us already have kids, or FHs have kids....sooo im interested to hear, given the diverse group of people we have on the boards....

What are your's and FH's plans regarding children after the wedding????

Well, FH is a few years older than me, im 23 he's about to turn 29...as far as he's concerned, BABIES NOWWWWWWWWWW!!! he'd get me pregnant now if he could if it werent for the wedding!! LOL He has asked for a honeymoon baby a few times....

howeverrrr I disagree...i cannot WAIT for kids, seriously, so it's not like I don't want them...BUT I don't have a job yet...I'm still a student...I want my Teacher benefits before i have kids!!! However, I told him we'll compromise...We will wait til our 1st newlywed year is over...I have a job and benefits, and if we try to schedule having the baby where I can take regular maternity leave and have that end right when the summer begins, then that's what we'll do! I won't make him wait all the way til I have my 3 years for Tenure.

So, I'm lookin at hopefully poppin the first one out May/June 2012!!! (I always have my life planned out to a T...ive said forever, Married at 23, first kid at 25...and its already going as planned...God willing, I'll be lucky and healthy enough to get pregnant when I want)

prob 2 years after. I would like some time to enjoy being newlyweds and living together and make sure we are financially secure

Ill be 25 and FH will be 29 when were married.
We want to enjoy one another first...Travel n all that good stuff. We both have jobs with pensions, medical, ect but Im going back to school and I would love to have a better job and be settled b4 we tried...but If it happens b4 then we will manage

we're waiting 1 year. then going to italy/germany/greece for our 1 year anniversary and gonna make babies there!

FH and I will both be 25 when we get married (well, actually he'll turn 25 three days later) and we're going to wait at least 2 years, maybe 3. He wants 4 kids. I want 2 (in one shot...PRAY FOR TWINS )

Not for a few years, if at all. We have some major travel plans within the next few years...Bangladesh, India, Ireland, England.

We're thinking 5 years. If we do. That's a big 'if'.

i would like to wait 2-3 years after we get married....fh would get me pregant today if i told him we could have a baby. but i would really like to remodel some more of our home and do some other stuff before having kids.

FH & I both are hearing and feeling the ticks of our biological clocks!! So we have decided to start trying once we get home from our HM. we both want to be able to drink as much as we like w/out the fear that we are already prego. Barring (knock wood) we have our house built (or in the stages of being built) by then. So if there are no unexpected fertility prob (once again, knock wood) we should be pregos by this time next year!!!! so freakin excited

FYI....for the ladies whom are planning an HM baby....if you didnt know you should see your OBGYN about 6 months prior towards trying so he/she can take a gander at the pipes (sorry to be so descriptive) and get you started on Folic Acid, etc. So I will be going to my Dr in March.

I plan on doing the same, and taking prenatal vitamins and such!

Since I will be 36 when we get married and FH will be turning 40 in August next year we are going to try to get pregnant as soon as we are back from our honeymoon.

when we get married FH be almost 32 and I will be almost 31, so i think we would want to have #1 within a year or 2.... I would like to have some married and un-prego time (atleast 6 months to year) but I feel like we shouldn't wait all that long based on our ages (not saying any of us 30+ girls are old, I just hear my gyn yelling at me to get moving!)

If it were up to FH we would have babies now but I am not ready. I said we will start trying a year after we get married. Although I do plan on stopping my BC right after the wedding so anything is possible......!!!!!

FH wants to try for a baby right NOW. i keep having to explain to him that it won't look to great when I'm 9 months preggers at our own wedding. So he'll just have to wait til our HM to start trying. FH is almost 30 hence the pushy-pushy.

Omg Im getting pregnant on my honeymoon!! God willing ill be pregnant when i get back fh and I are dying for a lil baby!!!

Some of our friends had honeymoon babies, but we want to enjoy a little time of being married. However, I will be 35 and he will be 42 when we get married so we don't want to wait too long. We will start trying within that first year.
