***QOTD 2.28.13***

So I dragged FH to see a band with me last night, and not only did we not like them, but when I told him the cost of the band, he almost fell off his chair. He thinks I'm out of control with my spending, but I keep telling him if I could plan for less money, I would. So that got me thinking...

If your FH was planning your wedding by himself, what do you think it would look like?

If my FH was planning our wedding, the color scheme would be blue and orange, since he is a huge Knicks and Mets fan. He would have a Fudgie the Whale cake from Carvel, and the vows would literally last 3 minutes, since he doesn't really like public speaking. He'd be wearing a pair of Jordans instead of shoes, and we'd probably have an iPod with all his rap on it playing. There would be no veggies or anything slightly healthy looking, and he'd love if White Castle could cater. Also, it definitely wouldn't start at 11:30 in the morning, he'd probably set it up so we had to start getting ready at like 5PM. He is NOT a morning person.

There is not a chance in hell FH would plan our wedding. He hates all this stuff He did the venue & is helping with the djs and maybe the limos. He says it all the time, if it was up to him we'd elope and buy a house much sooner. He is doing this big wedding for me because he knows its my dream.

If my Fh planned our wedding it would be a bbq in his parents backyard. No one would be dressed up and there definitely would be less people there than our current 175 people guest list.

Our color scheme is blue and orange because I am a huge Mets fan and they are my favorite colors. And Fh and all the guys are going to be wearing converse.

If FH was planning the wedding it would definitely be on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean or Hawaii. That was our original plan until we realized that there was no way our parents could afford the trip and they don't even have passports!

Honestly, it would probably just like it is coming along now. My FH really thinks he is David Tutera. I actually told him I wish we could have David Tutera plan our wedding and he said 'Yeah, I think David and I would work well together'
The little details aren't as important to him--he doesn't really think about them, so I think those would be thrown together last minute (name plaque, table numbers). Also, the grooms attire would be totally off and not at all match what the brides are wearing. He tried to tell me that brown and grey match. Ohhhh boy.

If FH was planning our wedding it would probably look like Comic Con haha. FH is a nerd so I would expect a Star Wars theme or a compilation of all of his favorite superheroes. As much as that may make some cringe, I think it is endearing and wouldn't be entirely opposed!

Oh, lord. If my FH planned our wedding, it would definitely be either zombie themed or hunting themed... or maybe a mix of both since he's obsessed with zombies and hunting. For music, we'd probably only have Pink Floyd songs. No bueno.

My FH insists that navy and black are matching colors. I know it's a trend now, but that doesn't mean it matches. Lol

I love this question!

Well first of all, he would have it on Halloween. Everything would be 'horror' themed since he's obsessed with scary movies. I'm pretty sure he would want WuTang to perform. And the food would consist of beer, chicken wings, and sliders. Oh, and instead of cake, we'd have icecream and cookies.

Cute question! I think our wedding would be a lot smaller in size and details... up until a year ago my FH had never attended a 'NY wedding'. He's from CT and they do things VERY differently there. Things that are 'normal' to us here in LI are unheard of in CT. He would be satisfied with much less stuff, but I know it would still be beautiful. He's been a big help through all of this and I couldn't be more thankful to feel like it's OUR wedding. :)

good question!

I actually gave my FH the option to elope or do town hall. He said no he wanted to do the big to do. So we have both been equally involved in the wedding. I am sure if he was to not have me shoot down some of his ideas he might have more superhero theme in our wedding. I think it would still be the same since he helped pick out and decide on everything we go so far.

Oh mannnnn..... First off it would be super traditional and in a church. Luckily we're super good at compromising! He actually said to e the other day that one of his work friends who is single said she basically has her wedding planned.,.i said most girls do...he was shocked how someone would plan it mentally without any input from the groom...lol

Mine would be all about drinking and partying I am sure! He likes good music, beer and a good time. He may pick green because thats his favorite color and try to incorporate more Irish traditions but he loves that stuff!! Too bad he's marrying an Italian lol
