Did you and your FH/FW discuss engagment and rings prior to the engagment?
Joe and I had dicussed wanting to get engaged and what kind of ring I wanted. He knew what I liked and didn't like, but wanted me to be surprised so he would not let me try on any...
Though we had discussed engagment prior, I was completely surpised the day he proposed because his mom and sister kept telling me not to expect anything soon because he wasn't even saving... which was a lie...

We did a little bit.. just basically that I liked white gold and something simple. One day while we were in the mall we passed a zales that had a poster of a ring I liked.. he dragged me in to try it on lol

fh and i had been discussing it and playing around with the idea but i had no idea what he was gonna chose. It was a total shock. but fh has awesome taste

we talked about it for about 6 months prior to the engagement. we went ring shopping a bunch of times and i gave him a good idea of what i wanted and he just completely took me off guard with his choice of rings cuz its so different. everything else like talking to my parents and planning the engagement weekend was a surprise but i was annoying and was constantly asking 'when is it coming? when are u gonna do it?' lol
