We've been upstate for a few days driving all over and we were JUST talking about winning the lotto (I was bored and FH was trying to keep me awake lol)
If we wont the lottery, I wouldn't quit my job or look for a new one - I would just feel a ton less stress about potentially being laid off from our school because I'd know my safety net just got soooo much bigger. I'd buy a house for us, a bigger house for my parents, put money into my nieces' and nephew's college funds, and then put the rest in an account or some stocks and let it GROW!
My parents have been blissful this whole time and I know I'm lucky. After seeing my other two sisters get married, there was a lot I was prepared to battle about but nothing has gone bad. No fight over why we're not marrying in a church, no arguing over making the guest list bigger than 110 people, nada. The only my mom & 1 sister freaked out about was letting my 3 BMs choose their own dresses but they came around when they saw my inspiration pics.

1. If I won the lotto, and I'm talking BIG lotto... I'd buy my dream home, help my parents and sibling and retire. I would volunteer my time or get a job doing something I just love to do.
2. My parents have been extremely supportive and even though my Mom has her opinion, I've sort of gotten her under control. FH and I have to remind each other that it's 'our' day and we have the last call on it all.

1) If I won the lotto, I would quit my job, but only because there are other things I'd like to try. First, I would pay off my student loan ($14k to go!!!), then I'd buy my mom a house (she's lived in apartments since we were little), then I'd buy her a car, pay off all our vendors for our wedding, but I wouldn't change our budget, and buy US a house!! Then, I'd pay for school to learn how to professionally cut hair (I've always wanted to go to the Aveda Institute) and then I'd go work at a hair salon.
2) My dad and I don't have much of a relationship, so it's been weird, but not awful. My mom is great. I think she's truly happy for me and very into the whole thing. I honestly have nothing to complain about and I know I'm really lucky for that. But I think I alleviated a lot of the tension by mandating that FH and I pay for the whole thing ourselves. What we say goes and no one can say boo about it. :)
