Today is the 2nd anniversary of 'Adoption Day', the day we adopted our adorable pups. They were a birthday present from FH to me, and a complete surprise (well, I knew I was going to get to adopt one dog, but adopting 2 was a surprise). So, in celebration of how wonderful of a 'Doggie Daddy' FH been, today's question is...When was the moment you knew you'd want to spend the rest of your life with your FH?
We were friends for a year before we actually started dating, and he was super sweet even as just a friend. He brought me roses on Valentine's Day, 'because every girl should get flowers on Valentine's Day', and we even went on vacation together.
I knew I loved him for a long time, but I'd never seen him with kids, so I wasn't sure how he'd handle being a dad. The day we brought the pups home, they cried and were scared and didn't want to eat. He sat on the kitchen floor with them, hand feeding them food, piece by piece, and then slept on the couch with them for a week so they wouldn't be scared anymore.
Ever since then, he's been the one to walk them most of the time, feed them on time, bring them to the vet, and make sure they had all their flea and tick stuff. But I knew from that first day, watching him on the floor of the kitchen whispering to them telling them they'd be fine and that we were going to love them forever, that we were going to have an amazing life together.

So cheezy, I know!

This sounds cheesy, but I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him on our first date. I think he felt it too. We both just fell so completely head over heels for each other that we knew we were going to end up together forever.

I honestly don't have a defining moment. I wish I did, but it was just something gradually that happened. Maybe I should make a story up and just go with it? Lol~

Lady, you and I are both in the Cheese Club, because while I didn't know it on the first date, I did know within a month's time that FH was the one. We opened up to each other in a way that I had never been able to do before with somebody (granted, I was 18 at the time) and I just knew that I could never care about anybody else the same way ever again.

Aw that is so sweet! I knew right away too!
We met online and we were chatting for a couple of weeks before we decided to meet at Starbucks. The second he walked through the door he took my breath away. We talked for hours and he had me hysterical laughing, it was like we had known each other for years. I never wanted it to end. I knew the second he walked in that door we would be spending our lives together. I called my mom right after and told her I met the guy I was going to marry! We moved in together six months later

I knew I was going to spend my life with him on our first date. We met online (POF) and we had our first date within a week of NONSTOP conversations. Our first date was almost 9 hours long. The next day I called my best friend and I told her he was the one I was going to marry.I'm pretty sure he felt it too.

It scares me how alike we are! lol
FH & I have been 'officially' together for just about 5 years. I knew the second I met him there was something special about him & I was hung up ever since. But FH & I have been through so many trying times together over the years & getting through them together & coming out stronger then before showed me that this is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I knew right away too. FH and I met in May 2012 at a school reunion at Belmont Park. I had left the school in 2nd grade and he came in 4th grade but we had never met until that day. We just kept talking the whole day and the rest is history. All of our friends and family knew we were perfect for each other.

I knew I wanted to spend my life with him before we started dating. He was an 18 yr old boy who spoke passionately about loving his family. He had never dated before because 'he wasn't going to settle' but he had had his heart broken several times. He was kind, and conscientious and had priotities...at 18!!! Thats the kind of guy I was supposed to be with..forever.

It's funny you should ask because last night Fh told me one of his friends at work told him right before our first date, 'You're going to marry this girl'.For me it had to be the first day he really bonded with my niece Mackenzie. Seeing him run around with her and good he was with her sealed the deal for me.

I knew fairly early that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. We met on EHarmony and had a serious connection right away. We waited almost 2 months before we actually met. In that time our conversations provided so much comfort and the ability to learn about each other that when we did meet, it was SO natural and comfortable. From our first date I felt an instant connection and he was so sweet, caring, goofy and loving. He was the guy I had always dreamed about and wished and prayed I would find. I got super lucky!

I don't have a specific moment. It just happened over time. I saw how great he treated me, how well we communicate, how much he loves his family, how we share the same goals for the future, how hard working and responsible he is and how well we just.. mesh. It's something that only made sense to the both of us =0

I knew FH was the one right away. I can't explain it and I didn't know it then but looking back I always realize how I knew it but didn't recognize it. FH actually asked me to marry him at 4 months but we laughed it off and said yes yes when the time's right! He also told me he loved me first and multiple times before I opened up back so I knew it then too :)

Back in 1997 I got my own computer and started to go on AOL and in chat rooms. I had met this one guy on there and became friends but never meeting in person. Then through chat rooms and ims I started talking to his brother and then I met their other friends through AOL still no in person meet. Well one of their friends happened to be FH. We would chat on AOL and I knew I liked him. I never knew how people could have feelings through a computer but I was starting to learn. I used to wait for him to come online at night. Lol. Well one night he came on and instant messaged me and all it said was HI and right there I said to myself this is going to be the guy I marry. So we all kept talking through the computer and then in 2000 I started working in the city and his grandfather owned a bar near my job so i kept teasing him telling him I was going to show up one day on my lunch hour and surprise him. So one day I knew he was working I went in and met him. I sat down and he asked what I wanted to drink and I said whatever you feel like making me. So he made me a Long Island Iced Tea. Nice and strong. I only had that one and I didn't eat all day and I had a liquid lunch so you can imagine I didn't feel so hot after and had to go back to work. Ugh. So I went back to work and we decided to meet after work but I already had plans with my best friend so i cancelled with her and went back to the bar and hung out. Needless to say I got in trouble that night cause no one knew where I was and who I was with but hey I had to give it a shot. It was awesome we had our first kiss that night. We both liked each other but didn't make the move we were young and stupid. We remained friends and I was there when he was in relationships and he was to. We always looked out for each other and took care of each other. Finally about 2 years ago we decided enough is enough let's do this and Waalaa 16 years later I'm marrying the man who said HI. Everyone always wanted us to be but we just never acted on it.Thank you Aol 3.0

My FH and I had been friends since the beginning of high school (we went to middle school together then I moved to a different town for high school). Ever since we were friends, he was so much fun to be around and made me feel special. Once we started dating in college, I knew he was the one and he knew too. We spoke about getting married fairly early on in our relationship and every time we talked about it, it just felt right.

I'm with you ladies. I can't pinpoint a defining moment. I met FH online at a point when I wasn't really sure if I wanted to be in a relationship. I met him and he was nice...quirky in an interesting way. No matter how I tried to tell myself I wasn't sure if I wanted to be in a relationship, there was something about FH that I couldn't say no to. I was intrigued lol....4 1/2 years later...i'm hooked!
