Good morning everyone. You guys had some great answers for yesterdays question. Its funny the things you want to be as a little kid.Ok for todays question. Another 2 parter.
Is anyone going to get a tan before the wedding?
Either tanning beds, spray tans, or natural in the sun tans?
If so, how do you plan on covering up tan lines? (especially with beach tans) I Have thought about this because since I am getting married in September and I spend alot of my summer on the beach I know I will have tan lines.
Hmmmmmmmm- I have no answer for my own question today!

I probably will, since my wedding is in June. But it'll probably be natural - I tan very easily and don't particularly like going to tanning salons. I'll spend a couple of hours laying out in my backyard and I should be good to go.

I will probably have a tan for our wedding...It's october so I am thinking just a little bit of color would look nice. I will use a tanning booth to do it though, no tan lines for me lol

definitely, i'm so pale....actually my makeup artist suggested spray tan, she does it....i have to try it a few months b4 the wedding to make sure i don't turn orange but that's what i am leaning towards.

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/14/09*~*~*~
Nope...I'd look weird with a tan. I've got that typical super fair Irish skin and when I do go out in the sun, it's all about the SPF 45 (or higher!) otherwise I just burn, blister and peel. Gross! Also, skin cancer runs in my family (an aunt died at my age - 27 - years ago from it. Scary.) so I've never even set foot in a tanning booth. I've considered the spray tan thing, but I'm afraid to try it because since I'm so pale, I'm afraid I'll look like an Oompa Loompa!

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/14/09*~*~*~
i am not a sit in the sun & tan type of person. i am totally against fake & bake & i think spray tanning is a waste of money. however since our wedding is the end of April if we have a few nice days before i may sit in the sun a little to give my shoulders a little color. i tan very easily. also my FH has super fair Irish skin. he already is sun burned. so me showing up with a super tan is not such a good idea.

I don't like going to the tanning salon for multiple reasons (one of them having to do with the movie Urban Legends). Spray tan scares me, so I'm probably not going to be doing anything. However, depending on when we book for, I usually get really tan in the summer (if I go outside a lot lol) and it actually usually stays around until Octoberish/beginning of November sooo we'll see!

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/14/09*~*~*~
This is how long I have been planning to get married the first weekend in October. When I was much younger say around 12 before tanning beds even existed or at least were not heard of much I in my sick little wedding obsessed mind said I'd want the first weekend in October because it's still Fall and pretty and I'll still have my tan from the summer hahaha, what a weirdo....Anyway if my tan isn't to my liking at the time I may spruce it up a little with fake tanning nothing crazy at all just a natural glow and to take care of any tan lines if possible. This QOTD just gave me the epiphany that I needed lol. It reminded me of how long I have wanted the first weekend in October to get married. I can still picture myself telling my sister and mom that in my backyard on my deck in the summer. The date cannot be changed lol, ahh closure, thank you for posting this!!! lol

Yes I will be tan. I am the end of August so I will probably have a summer tan anyway but I will use the tanning salon to even out any lines or uneven spots. I tan easily it usually only takes me 2 sessions to get a nice glow.FH is Portuguese so he gets tan on rainy days! Soooo I really don't wanna look like casper next to him

I will go tanning at least once before the wedding, to give me some color and also to help clear up my skin-if needed. I don't want to be too white for the wedding and also this way I will have a base tan for the honeymoon

Definitely will get some sort of tan for the wedding. Mine is in July so I think I will sit out in the backyard and try to expose as much skin as possible to avoid tan lines! I look very washed out in the winter and use lots of bronzer to avoid this.

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/14/09*~*~*~
I WILL BE A BRONZED BYATCHHHHHHHHHH!No really, my skin tone is Olive, so I would like to be somewhat tan in my pics.
1) I will use the tanning beds, please no need to lecture, but when used in moderation, you won't die from it. I <3 you guys, no yelling at me!
2) I don't like spray tans bc it will DESTROY my dress. You have no idea what sort of a pain that spray tan crap is. If you want to do it, however, I strongly suggest going to a PROFESSIONAL and have it done like 5 days before. Reason being, and this is from personal experience, that crap stains so bad when you sweat, doesn't matter if you shower before hand or not. At least if its 5 days before, you still have time to get the remainder of the residue off you skin. I heard the one at Maximus is good. They massage it into you. OH YEAH, and a little FYI, you can't shower for 12 hours or something afterward, and technically, you shouldn't get wet period. And don't turn yourself into an oopppaalllllloooommmmppppppaaaa!
Tan lines are really easy to get rid of. Number one: Puchase a swimsuit that is Bandau Style... you know the ones that look like a simple piece of fabric...Number 2: In beauty stores, they sell this instant tan towelettes. They are little packages with self tanner inside. What I do is apply regular lotion to the tan lines, and use the towelletes sparingly to gently disguise them.
My BIG tip is don't look like an Oompa Loompa and don't resemble tan Stewie..... Please kindly see pics below for reference:

hopefully i will be tan. since its the first of july i hope june will be warm enough for me to get some sun.as for the tan lines i wear strapless bathing suits. honestly i see a lot of brides with really dark tan lines on thier wedding day and it is distracting.
