Since I'm pretty sure the Casper, you know the friendly ghost, is my third cousin, I'll be tanning via tanning bed but not religiously. We're getting married in February. Also since the dress ended up being white, I don't want to match it totally.

I WILL BE A BRONZED BYATCHHHHHHHHHH!
No really, my skin tone is Olive, so I would like to be somewhat tan in my pics.
1) I will use the tanning beds, please no need to lecture, but when used in moderation, you won't die from it. I <3 you guys, no yelling at me!
2) I don't like spray tans bc it will DESTROY my dress. You have no idea what sort of a pain that spray tan crap is. If you want to do it, however, I strongly suggest going to a PROFESSIONAL and have it done like 5 days before. Reason being, and this is from personal experience, that crap stains so bad when you sweat, doesn't matter if you shower before hand or not. At least if its 5 days before, you still have time to get the remainder of the residue off you skin. I heard the one at Maximus is good. They massage it into you. OH YEAH, and a little FYI, you can't shower for 12 hours or something afterward, and technically, you shouldn't get wet period. And don't turn yourself into an oopppaalllllloooommmmppppppaaaa!
Tan lines are really easy to get rid of. Number one: Puchase a swimsuit that is Bandau Style... you know the ones that look like a simple piece of fabric...Number 2: In beauty stores, they sell this instant tan towelettes. They are little packages with self tanner inside. What I do is apply regular lotion to the tan lines, and use the towelletes sparingly to gently disguise them.
My BIG tip is don't look like an Oompa Loompa and don't resemble tan Stewie..... Please kindly see pics below for reference:

I definitely want to be tan for my wedding, but not tanorexic. Fortunately, I tan very easily and all the Sicilian genes in my family so I will probably still have my summer (natural) tan by the time of my wedding (Early October). I plan on going to the beach extra that summer so that I have a dark tan that summer. Also, white makes you look darker than you are so that can help everyone!

I am the 1ST cousin of Casper the Friendly Ghost... and I don't go out in the sun, and don't tan. I'm on skin medication that forbids it. So, spray tan is my only option -- but I don't want to get it ALL OVER MY DRESS. Uuugh... I'm too pale not to get SOME color. How aggravating. I'll think of something.

Re: ~*~*~*QOTD 4/14/09*~*~*~
ive switched sides! i stopped going to tanning salons years ago and have been applying sun screen all day when im in the sun. (i used to never care and go to tanning salons a few times before the summer, and never wear sun screen. but 3 years ago we hired this woman and she looks like magda from 'theres something about mary' , mind you she isnt old, her oldest child is a freshan in college, and i got so scared) so since this change, i have found L'Oreal sublime bronze self tanning towelettes medium/natural tan.NO joke- if you pay attention and follow the instructions- you will look like you have a very natural glow. its worth a shot! try it ladies!! save your skin!

Well mine is the end of june so I will have a good natural tan but will make it all even with a few sessions at the salon.I actually went tanning twice last week and tonight for my eparty sat! I wanted to have a nice glow since I am wearing a mostly white dress.
As for spray tanning it is an awesome quick fix and
it is the most safe thing you can do. Anybody wanting to do this who hasnt go for it!
