Hello Ladies! I just wanted to let you know that I will be Heading to MA for a family reunion (tonight), so my next few QOTD’s may not as early, since their is NO internet access at my grandparents house in the mountains!
What do you think about drinking at the wedding?
On the last episode of BRIDEZILLA, the bride was so drunk!!! She was getting sick in the bathroom and missed her reception! Yuck!
My FH and I don’t believe in getting drunk at our own wedding. I can totally see how it can happen with nerves and all! We want to be able to remember what we can because we know that the day is going to fly by. Plus, We want to be able to party at our after party! The groomsmen men are another story – I am hoping that they are sober enough to get some good pictures!
EDIT: we are going to have a few drinks, but not to get drunk!

Ill have a glass os champagne but I do not plan on being a drunk bride. That's what everyone else's weddings are for

I will be drinking. I will not be drunk to the point that I'm falling all over myself though.
FH will drink too, but he doesn't drink much to begin with, so I don't have to worry about him.
I am going to have my usual - a few glasses of wine. I won't be on the floor or anything like that. I wanna know whats going on and be able to rememeber it...

We have already said no drinking before the ceremony..we will have a couple of drinks (no bottle of beer though)
I am more worried about the BP we are all pretty big drinkers..but I will get a preview in Sept...a GM is getting married so we will see

i will probably be pulled in 1000 directions I will be lucky to actually finsih a drink. FH things he is getting wasted but he knows alot better then that.

I didn't see the episode, but I know how terrible it is to be that trashed on any occasion.
At the wedding, I plan to have a few drinks, but neither myself or FH will be completely inebriated!

I don't drink so I'm good. I usually have my famous shirley temple to get that alcholic look. FH wll drink but he never drinks to get drunk.

i agree....i dont know why but i hate seeing brides drinking from a bottle of beer while they are wearing a nice gown. Beer is fine, but maybe put it in a nice glass!
Wow... I am not one that drinks to get drunk, but I LOVE bottled beer (it doesn't have the same taste in the glass!) so I plan on having a couple... I enjoy them, and it's my WEDDING day... I'll do what I want!

Since FH's family is Muslim (so they don't drink) and my fam is Irish (so we don't NOT drink!), this has been an issue for us.
We are going to have fun, non-alcoholic drinks offered to our non-drinking guests so they don't just have to have soda.
Our toast will not be champagne, but rather sparlking cider.
FH says he won't be able to drink at the wedding, but he may sneak a little Jack into his Coke
I don't want to get drunk...not even slightly buzzed. I want to remember everything! Maybe just a glass or two of champagne for me throughout the day.
As for the guests...well, we'll see how THAT goes with such differences in the drinking department!
Let's hope you remember to post how this all goes down after the wedding!! Gooooood luck with that!!!
