QOTD 8-12-09

Morning ladies!! I finished my last graduate class yesterday....I ‘m so relieved that it is finally over

For today’s question I want to know…

What was your first job & does it relate to what you are doing now

My first job was at Kmart when I was 15 Although it doesnt directly relate to my teaching career, it definately taught me alot about life and people

my first job was working in a bakery...it doesn't relate to my job now (i'm an accountant) but i still LOVE cookies!!

Me too!! I started working at the bakery when I was 14.5 and worked there for 3 years. It is not even remotely related to my job now - except when we order cookies/desserts for our meetings, lol. And I LOVE cookies.

i worked in a supermarket it helped a little bit with what i do now office type work

I worked at a Bakery for 6 years. It really doesn't realte to being a math teacher but it make some of my math skills even better.

definitely doesnt relate but i worked at a family owned ice cream store for like 7 years! I practically grew up there, they were like my family, i miss it soooo much! i go back whenever im around LI

My first job was wrapping christmas presents for friends of my parents...I guess it has something to do with what I want to do...since in both I'm helping people?

It has nothing to do with what I currently do but this is an in-between job until I have my masters.

My first job was at a video store-it was sweeeeeet...All i did was watch movies all day...It doesn't really relate to my job now though...

my first job was at a child psychology research lab it was great and was an awesome experience...aside the fact that it's in the psych field it has nothing to do with what I do now (oncology hospital social work!)

and babysitting doesn't count!

Aside from babysitting, my first job was at the Gap! Has nothing to do with the field that I am in now, which is Finance, but I got great discounts that I really miss!!

My first job was in a pizzeria (king umbertos in elmont), i worked behind the pizza counter. I started when I was 15 and continued until I was 18 or 19 (while home on break from college). It definitely made me much less afraid of speaking to adults!

Does not relate at all to my job now (lawyer).

My first job was at Coldstone Creamery when I was sixteen. It made me and my entire family fatties!!!
It doesn't relate to my current career, but it did make me view people in a whole new life. I think I was very sheltered prior to this job, because I had no idea how rude and disgusting people could be! Now I am jaded and hate people haha.

My first job was working at the GAP.....it has absolutley nothing to do with what I am doing today. I am actually feeling pretty lost in my job right now too though so you never know......

My first job was being a nanny and it has nothing to do with the fact that I am in insurance hell now. jk however when I become a teacher it will relate.

My first job was in an Italian deli when I was 16 but I was only there for a few months. Doesn't really apply to my current job as an elementary teacher.

My first job was a page at the public library I used to sit in the stacks and read all the Baby Sitters Club and Sweet Valley books I could!

I work now in the dietary supplement industry in Consumer Affairs...

No relation whatsoever

I worked at an Italian bakery....I hated those 7 am Sunday morning shifts....and working holidays... but it doesn't relate to my current career of being a teacher....
