~QOTD 9-1-09~

Good morning, Ladies!! Happy September 1st! (seriously? it's Sept. 1st??)

So, I just did the Tuesday Countdown and I still have more than 400 days left and that got me thinking...

Part 1: At what point did you (or will you) decide to really get a move on with planning? Part 2: At this point, how many of you are freaking out? A lot? A little?

At this point, I am still coasting through the engagement and trying NOT to realize that my year mark is less than 2 months away. I am hoping that I can have a few more things done before that year mark, so I don't go too crazy when it hits!

1) Pretty much once January hits im in wedding planning overdrive lol, thats when ill start taking care of all the little things and registering, and house hunting etccccccc.

2) im not freaking out at all yet lol im sad cuz i wanna freak out but i feel like its never gonna get here! maybe once i hit the 1 year mark

I am trying to get a move on as we speak. I unfortunately had to fire my band last night and now the search is back on and in terms of freaking out I am MOST DEF beginning to FREaK OUT! :) 264 days to go...gulp!

1) We got engaged at 4am and by 12pm that day I was at the first RH....I'm an organizational freak.

2) Tomorrow I will officially start freaking out bc then its FOUR MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im really freaking out I have 171 days left omg!!!!!! My vendors have been all booked since April But everthing else needs to be done pretty much by the end of September,
I need to reg for precana
Invtations need to be done- working on them now the girl will give me a quote at the end of the week!
Need find a dress for MOB and FMIL
ITs now coming too fast !! Im freaking out

So I had the rh booked in two weeks of our engagement and all vendors except the small ones booked by my year mark. I planned on taking a little break and then really starting up again this July or August. Well I had zero money (and still dont lol) and now Im freaking out...a little...because at this point I feel like I should be in full planning mode, getting those little things together. Its 71/2 months away and after 8 months hit, time flewwww! When it hits below the 7 month mark, I might freak out, A LOT!

1) We have a long engagement...so we're doing things little by little in terms of booking vendors.

2) I'm not sure when things will start to get crazy for me. Maybe the 6 month mark? Then I'll have to start on my DIYs and the little things!

1. Im getting a move on now...i went to book this my photographer this past saturday and thank goodness i did because they only had one photographer left. so now im anxious to get everything done before the vendors i want are booked.

That is a great question - sometimes I feel like I am behind and not moving fast enough but then when I look at the countdown and realize I still have over 400 days, I can kind of take a breath and relax.......

We tried not to really dwell on the wedding planning too much in the summer since we wanted to enjoy being newly engaged, but that didn't happen. lol We booked out RH and church about 4 weeks after we got engaged and then the limos 2 weeks ago.

We are trying to do everything to avoid feeling panicked at the end but I am sure we won't get nearly half the things done. lol

I think after xmas is when we will really start to wrap up all our odds and ends and make sure we are caught up with everything and pay off as much as we can prior to the wedding so we don't have all these balances due 2 weeks before the wedding!

Haven't started freaking out yet....maybe towards Jan I will start turning into a nut job!

I waited until we where engaged for 6 months before I even started to look at RHs. After that we slowly booked our vendors. I have absolutely no tolerance for stress. When I get stressed I can't sleep & if I can't sleep I can't function. I try everything in my power to be stress free.

With only 8 months left to go, I am beginning to freak out more regularly. I am drinking a lot of tea & spending a lot of time crying. (crying is my best stress release)

1. I am a very anxious person, w/lots of control issues, so I went into planning I think in the 2nd week of engagement, and then really into researching things once we decided to have the wedding here in the US

2. I am freaking out about once a month about money. I dont know what it is, but as clock work, once a month I cry over money. FH freaks out once a week. yup we have a freak out schedule

I've started to freak out in the past couple of weeks, but I'm getting a lot done now, which is helping for sure!

1 - I was really coasting and doing squat for a long time. FH actually had to have a talk with me and told me to stop being a dude about things and that we really needed to get our @sses in gear with the planning. Then he said to me that we weren't allowed to register or book our honeymoon until we booked the major vendors. Eeeek! That got me moving. Kind of. We met with one photog, had a DJ lined up but he was deported last week (!!!), so we're back at square one. However, once Ramadan is over, we'll be meeting with more vendors. Oh, and I tried on dresses and will be buying mine this Saturday.

2 - Not freaking out at all. I'm enjoying the process and while I'm very organized, I would rather enjoy booking vendors slowly than rush just to get it done, and then question my judgement. I'm not saying that any of you ladies have that issue - I just know that that's how I would be if I booked up quickly. Additionally, our wedding is on an uncommon date - Father's Day - so I'm not too concerned about vendors being all booked up for that date.

1. Well I am working on the last of the big 7 vendors. Limo's so most things are pretty well under control

2. My year mark was just this past Thursday and it felt AWESOME!!!! I don'thave to many freak outs except when I think about where the hell we are going to live, and save for all this... Oh and when things happen out of my control, like churches renovating without telling me... Still a little over that one.

Overall I feel great with everything no complaints!

1. still havent gotten a move on planning.. all major vendors are booked and as far as im concerned that the bulk of it.

2. not freaking out at all. im a major procrastinator but i always get things done in the end.. usually stress free too.. just my personality i guess.. im not freaking AT ALL and i dont think i will.. MAYBE as a walk down the aisle.

We are pretty heavily in wedding mode right now. The wedding is just over 4 months away, and the stress is settling in.

1) I am a freak, so a month after he proposed, we were on the wedding planning train. It hasn't stopped.

2) Not nervous. All the big stuff is done!

I never felt pressure to get a move on with planning... we started planning and booking immediately after we got engaged!
I am not stressed out you. I am stressed over money, but not about getting things done. I tend to do things WAY in advance so hopefully I won't be too stressed in the coming year.

I feel soo behind right now! I'm really waiting to find a job to get my planning going in full swing. Right now I'm depending on FH for finances to the wedding and I'm really trying not to over burden him.

1. I started planning right after I got engaged so all my major stuff is booked. Now I can just sit back and relax and enjoy being engaged for a while until it's closer to the wedding.

2. I freak a little about wedding DETAILS! I am pathetic and lose sleep over it at night because there are so many ideas running through my mind. Other than that though I'm not freaking out much...I can't wait to be married!
