So FH and I finally watched that new show sister wives....if you girls havent watched it you totally should, i sat there with my mouth open

heres my question of the day

if you went back to the begining and met FH and he was a polygamist, would you still be marrying him, knowing that eventually there would be another wife, or even 2 or 3 other wives.

girls, i have to tell you, i wouldnt be able to share FH with anyone--- to watch this man go from bed to bed in one house--- i couldnt make itt

I would NEVER ever marry a polygamist...so weird...anyone ever read the book Escape? It's about a polygamist family (not like the one in Sister Wives, I'm sure) and it was sick. I'm not sure why these women want to share (I know it's their religion and all...but I don't get it.)

no-- never-- i dont think ANYONE else out there would 'get us' we're crazy and only get eachother. Plus think about how much work a relationship is-- sharing it with other women!!!!??? NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

i wanted to watch that show im so pissed i missedit-- i'm sure it will be back on!!!!

no no no no no no.... I am way too selfish, I never learned to share in Kindergarten! J/K... but yeah, nope can't do it! I have very good friends who are in an 'open' marriage and it works amazingly for them.... I could NEVER do it, but I also would never judge them or anyone else. If that is the way that your relationship works and EVERYONE is happy, who am I to say it's wrong?

Absolutely not, no way! I am not saying that to bash anyone who does believe in that kind of relationship, but it is definetly not for me. I can be jealous and insecure about myself at times, I do not think that there is any way that I would be able to live a lifestyle like that. I cant imagine knowing that my husband is saying I love you to someone else, and getting into bed with them. I want my husband to be with me and me only, I also do not want my children to share a father with 13 other kids... I dont belive it would be fair to myself or my children to live a life like that. That show is unbelievable, I guess I have to give those women alot of credit .. I definetly could not do it!

OMG - I was home sick yesterday and watched it....i pretty much did the same thing that you did, i sat with my mouth open the ENTIRE time!!!

Its insane!! And now hes taking on a 4th!?!?!?!? And shes 30!!!!!!!!!

I DEFFFFFF couldnt share FH with anyone. i dont get how the other women can do that. I get the whole 'its nice to have someone there to talk to' but thats what friends are for ladies hahahahaha. SOOOOO weird.

No. If my FH was someone who was practiced polygamy, he wouldn't be the man I know him as. Someone who believes in polygamy doesn't share the same faith and morals as I do.

good question! i haven't watched sister wives but I love Big Love and it's based on polygamy as well.

I think if back when I met FH and he lived that kind of lifestyle I don't think I would've received his advances the same way or as easily. i am a one man girl and i want my man to be a one woman kind of man. that is very important to me.

I am catholic and FH is Jewish. I was raised going to church every weekend but now i consider myself more open-minded and spiritual and he isn't religious what-so-ever so our interfaith relationship works for us. it actually works great bc we the only holiday we have to spilt with families is Thanksgiving

(i really just wanted to use the after all the talk about it yesterday )

Absolutely not. That would be the number one turn off from me right off the bat. I just don't understand how people live that way. Yeah sure when you are single fine, but why bother getting married if you are pretty much going to cheat (and yes I still consider that cheating).

I would not be able to do this and have no idea how these women can. I can't share my FH with anyone and knowing that in the room next to me, the man I love is having sex with someone else and that I have to wait and take a number is not for me. Furthermore, you have to live with these women and have your kids share the attention...puzzles me....sorry
