Do you plan on keeping your last name? Taking fh last name or hyphenating?
This is something I've really been thinking about and I can't decide! Fh of course would rather me just take his last name but I'm leaning towards hyphenating! I've been with my company, CHS since I was in grad school! I interned for them for 2 years and then got hired right away. Everyone knows me by my last name, and it's def not a small company! I figured if I hyphenate everyone will know who I am still and I'll have fh name as well! It gets sticky though because when I take the baby to the doctor they automatically call me Mrs. DePalo (my daughter and fh last name) because I guess they just ASSUME I took his name even though it says Sarelakos on the paperwork! LoL I still haven't fully decided yet! What do you ladies plan to do??

I'm taking his last name but keep joking with him otherwise because it bothers him and I like teasing him lol

I love my last name, but I'll be taking his. I don't except the children I teach to call me by my new last name even though they can't wait for me to get married because half of them can't pronounce my last name now

I'm def taking his name! It's going to be hard to get used to spelling it, since mine is super easy :LOL:
Ill be taking his last name. I thought about keeping my name but I know once we have kids that I'd like us all to have the same family name. I've practiced writing my new signature and its so awkward lol. Gotta get used to that

I'm taking his name for sure! It was never a question for me. We both have double z's in our last name and his FMIL maiden name has double z's - too funny!
I'm taking his last name. My last name is Grossman and it DIES WITH ME!!! I have waited allllll this time to change my last name and I cannot wait! My last name was torturous as a kid so I'll definitely be excited to get rid of it!
I won't even have to change my email or my signature really because my initials will stay the same and my signature is a big 'K' with a big 'G' and then scribbles

I will be taking his for sure! It's much shorter than mine and easier to pronounce hehe. Not to mention FH would not have it any other way. Lol

My uncle did this! He took his wifes last name (young) and got rid of his (grossman). Smart. Smart. man.

For those of you who are in the FB group, you all know my last name. So you can understand why I have been waiting for YEARS to change my name.
So in response to the question, yes, I will be changing my name. I also feel (and of course I know that not everyone agrees, which I totally understand and respect) that unless you are doing it for professional reasons, I like the idea of having the same last name as my children when I eventually start having them.
