$ question

$ question

FH and I will be together 5 years next week... I managed to get my hands on Lifehouse tickets for a total of $64.... told FH and he was excited, but all 'we don't have $64 to spend, and then we'll go out to dinner and it'll cost $150 for the night, and it could go to the wedding fund instead... let's not do gifts...' .... I want us to do something, but I don't want to be the budget breaker... should I cancel the tickets?

Re: $ question

I would say just go to the concert for $64 and do not go to dinner. Maybe the 2 of you could cook together that could make the night special.

sometimes you have to splurge to keep your sanity - keep the tickets and enjoy yourselves!

I'm not sure of your money situation, but I would still go.

Yes you are saving for the wedding, but you need to live too. You'll be surprised how you can come up with money. I wouldn't cancel the night out because it could go into the wedding fund, but that's just me. I would cut corners elsewhere if needed, but it's a special night and you both are allowed to celebrate it.

Re: $ question

Go to the show and enjoy yourselves. If you don't want to cook maybe do take-out before you go or go to a diner. You need to relax and let go of the wedding every once in a while.

Have a great time

Go see the show and try to do dinner at home or at an inexpensive restaurant. You should celebrate this special day!

totally agree. FH and i have these type of conversations all the time. sometimes you gotta splurge a teeny bit to relieve some stress. $64 won't break the bank. have some dinner at home that nite or get some fash food if you have to.

I would go- maybe skip dinner or do something inexpensive

and then cut the money from something else- skip a manicure or the next time you want to order take out food- don't

you can't save every dollar for the wedding- you have to live still!

Don't miss the concert, and maybe just go to the diner, or eat at home before you go.

Go to the concert! Where did you get the tickets? I want them too! lol I agree with the above idea about making a nice dinner at home and then enjoy the concert!

Re: $ question

Just go! To the concert and dinner. I know you have to save but sometimes you just need a fun night out for the two of you. Honestly, after the wedding it will probably be a house or kids and there will never be a 'good' time to spend money. You'll always be saving so just go and have a great time and don't feel guilty.

Re: $ question

Go... definitely do not get into the habit of choosing not to do something because you are saving up for something else. Next, it will be ' We can't go to the concert because we are saving for a house' or ' We can't go away this weekend because we are saving for a baby'. You need to live your life and have fun memories together. From all the stress of planning a wedding, you NEED this fun time with eachother. $64 won't make much of a difference when you're spending $1,000s at a time for the wedding. It's not like you're spending $6,400 dollars, thats a different story...

HAVE FUN!!
