Question......

FH and I were not going to get married in a church so no need for Precana... But I think we were should go to a class or 2.. We have problems with certain things and I think Precana will help teahc us how to work certain things out and what have you..

My question is.. What should I do?.. We act like a old couple already because of a few things ( Can't name just in case of peepers).. And I don't want to have these issues when we're married also??

i WOULD SAY GO TO YOUR LOCAL CHURCH & SPEAKWITH YOUR PREIST. EVEN THOUGH you rnot a memebr they usually will help you & give good advice where to go or maybe teh priest himself will help you with whatever problem you ar ehaving.

Re: Question......

I didn't even know they did that???

The only problem is... I'm a bit weary of doing that because a friend of the family's mother works at that church and I don't want her to find anything out. You know??

Re: Question......

the man who did our precana is a counselor and i have his info...he told us all at the classes to call if we ever wanted to have private sessions with him...fm me if you want the info. He was such a great guy...married almost 40 years...he has an office in his home and i DEFINITELY recommend him...especially being that he teaches pre-cana classes on the side!

I know for Bklyn and Queens you can sign up for pre-cana online and you don't even have to be catholic. If you want the info for their site, FM me and I'll help you sign up for it, it costs $195 and it's given in Douglaston on a friday evening 7:30-9:30 and a Saturday 9-5 - you have to do both days consecutively.

Re: Question......

My FH's aunt runs Pre cana for her church. If you want I can ask her if you can join even though you are not getting married in a church.

FM me if you want any info
