I'm Greek and have never been to a wedding where they lifted the bride in a chair. Thats a Jewish tradition. MOney being thrown, yes, breaking plates, sometimes.

Being Greek myself and also been to many Greek weddings and I have never ever seen the chair thing. Money is always thrown...haven't been to a wedding where plates are thrown though.

I had a Greek Wedding and the #1 thing @ the reception that I had to do was lead everyone in a dance. The dance is pretty easy, learned it in a week - I practiced with my MIL and a couple of our neighbors.
As far as the $$$$$$ being thrown you can expect that.
Everything else was fairly standard. FM me if you have any other ?s.

I've seen that at Italian weddings as well- well one or two. Did anyone else see that at Italian weddings as well?
