has anyone ever had a coloscopy?
NOT colonoscopy... a coloscopy from gyno?

ugh yea i hated every moment of it. so bad i hate going back to the gyno

I have had two it is a horrible experience.

I would bring someone with you so they can drive because i was very crampy after

i'm going for one tomorrow am. Back in July my pap was normal but other stuff wasn't she i guess she wants to check to be sure. The receptionist actually said 'come back in 4 months' Yes it's past 4 months but better late then never.

i'm scared lol.

i've had 2. the procedure *****...like i dindt think it was the end of teh world but it was a lil uncomfy. i know alot of people afterwards dont feel good but i was ok, i had minor cramps, nothing crazy.
i heard to take advil before the procedure to help.

some dr's make you cough when they take the biopsy so you dont feel it, i heard that helps

not good. at least they got it before hand. I'm really scared but i've never had an abnormal pap

i had that too. first i had cryosurgery (the freezing thing) and then i had the leap done

don't be scared colopscopys are normal since abnormal papsmears are abnormal I was just an unlucky one.

its not that that different than a regular exam..its set up the same way...its just that they take a biopsy...sometimes they do a few so you feel some pinches inside when they do it..the pinch is like a second. obviously its just nerve wracking because its in your vah-jay-jay and all, so i think thats what makes it worse, cuz you're all tense and nervous. most of the procedure is the dr looking around in there

I went to an encologist (sp?) and she wanted me to get another leap procedure but she said since I have never had kids she didn't want to do it since holding a child after 2 of those would be extremely difficult

::sigh:: hopefully everything will be fine.

i'm just scared.
I guess waiting for the results is worse then the actual procedure like everything else..

that is the worst part but like i said it is a very common procedure

I had abnormal paps for years and only now did they start coming out normal so I always had to have the follow up pap and sometime the cp afterwards...lots of girls have abnormal paps and it is usually nothing...plus like you said if there is something catching it before hand or early is the best thing

i was scared too and i wanted FH to hold my hand but there wasnt enough room
