Is your wedding all about pleasing the guests and showing off to your guests or do you not care what your guests think???

Absolutely! However, I do like when everyone can hear the vows.... I've been to so many weddings when you can't hear anything and it drives me nuts! I think during the ceremony it's just going to be so surreal & wonderful- how can you not just thing about yourself and FH??

Its a combination of both these things....our guests are our close friends and family so there are alot of similarities in likes and dislikes.

My mom wants to please the damn guests, even with my shower -(see my older posts) she wants the typical Italian style crap... nothing modern of different.
I personally want to do what I want, so it's a combination of both I guess.

I definitely care if my guests are having a good time. I think for me its a mixture of both. I would be pretty disappointed if people didn't enjoy themselves.

I want to please my guests by showing them a good time and letting them catch a glimpse of mine and FH's relationship... but that doesn't mean I will bend over backwards to accomdate them and forget about all of our needs and wants... The only thing I'm truly showing off (maybe even bragging a bit) that day is the amazing views of the bay from CLM. FH's family is all from upstate and I want to show off where I grew up and where FH has made a life for himself.

nope, my wedding is about me and FH. granted it is more than I ever dreamed of and we are keeping guests in mind but if there is something we want...we'll have it...and if the guests don't like it...tough tittie...we're only getting married once and I'm not gonna half *** what we really want because of other peoples vision.
we are compromising by having an afterparty at the house where we'll play our 'crazy' music and party like we normally would. as opposed to playing drum and bass at the wedding and getting smashed.

well i will be totally honest...
of course i want my guests (not every guest, but there are a certain few) to be WOWED -wowed because they know that FH and I paid for this entire wedding AND everything else that we have/own ourselves.....but that is not the reason behind anything that we are doing - but I know that there will be a few people who will feel that way - not because they expect anything to be ghetto BUT we are 22 and 25 years old and we work so hard for everything that we have and its a nice feeling when people are impressed because they are the same people who probably expected us to fail in the beginning (especially since when i was younger, they would give my mom shiiitt about me and talk about how great their kids were.....but what is funny is that their kids are older than us and we are more responsible and more accomplished than them) so for me its kind of like saying IN YOUR FACE!
but this wedding is exactley what we want - we are considering guests as far as hotel accomodations, shuttle, the food being served - but the overall wedding is about FH and ME! yay!

Exactly! I want my wedding to be representative of FH and I, but I also want to be a gracious host to the many people that want to share in our happiness!

We are doing what we like. We are not fancy or show off's and either are our family and friends. Actually some of my Dad's family is 'stuck up' but they aren't invited lol Everyone is so excited for our wedding. Everyone is ready to come and have a good time and I know we all will. That's what it's about

It is mostly about us and what we like and want, but also keeping in mind what our guests would enjoy. We wouldnt do something that would bore or scare everyone even if it was 'so us'.
And not about showing off- we have a budget so showing off is out of the ? haha
Its also about what our immediate familys would like (to an extent- we have utimate veto power!)
