Question regarding my dress...(again!!)

Original post by Trishthedish

Hey ladies.... I am sure I am driving you all crazy with my questions about my dress.

My dress has a corset back and right now there is no panel and my skin shows. I was thinking of putting a panel there b/c I have seen other girls dresses and I think it looks more elegant. Can you please give me your opinion if you like it or not. When I called the bridal salon the other day, I mentioned this to them and they told me I would have to make my decision now if I want to add it or not b/c the dress has been ordered and is in the process of being made. I am also debating on having a wrap made for the dress b/c I am always cold and the end of Sept. can go either way.

Please give me your opinion if you think I should add a panel by the corset area.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a pic of the back of my dress.

I vote for the panel because I think it looks neater. If you didn't get it will still look nice. You are a thin girl and I wouldn't worry about skin showing. The opening isn't that big anyway. I think the panel makes it look finished--JMO!
I think you are going to be really hot. Dresses are heavy. I don't think you will need the shawl.

Can we see the front?

Good Luck!

Thanks for all your input. I appreciate it.

Here is a pic of the front of the dress as you asked. The background of the pic looks very green but that is b/c this pic was taken with my old camera and the above pic was taken with my new one.

If this is a Demetrios dress, the panel is supposed to be detachable. You should look into that since your dress is in the order process and maybe you can try it on with and without. Since its detachable.

Really? I did not know that? Do you mind if I ask how you know this?

Thanks.

Honestly, the front reveals more skin than the back so I vote for no panel. Just because I love the look.

Now, I am sure a panel will look fine too.

So now you will have to ask yourself the following questions:

- How comfortable are you with no panel?
- What type of bra will you be wearing?
- How 'formal' is your wedding? Church wedding? etc...

I don't remember who but a former bride had the same problem. She opted for a half panel. Top of the panel with skin exposed, half down closed with a panel. While the look without a panel was very pretty, she realized that you could see the top of her slip/crinoline on the bottom part of the corset.
