Are you guys having a breakfast/brunch for your hotel guests the next morning? My hotel provides a continental breakfast but I was thinking of kicking it up a notch and doing a big breakfast and inviting the guests who stay over. I don't have too many guests staying over but enough. FH thinks that the continental breakfast is enough but I go back and forth. What are you guys doing? They charge a fee to book the private room and then it's a certain price per person. I am definitely leaving OOT bags in their rooms but I was thinking of attaching a note inviting them to breakfast too. Thanks

Re: Question regarding the day after
Since breakfast is not included in our hotel price we are doing a small breakfast in a private room.
If breakfast was included we would just be using that. Talk to the hotel and see if they will either give you a small banquet/meeting room to use OR section off a part of the restaurant where they serve breakfast for your guests.
if you could avoid an extra expense i would do it.

Re: Question regarding the day after
I don't know what to do. We are paying $500.00 for the shuttle and the cheapest brunch is $11.95 pp and it's just cereal and fruit. Something 1/2 way decent is going to run us approx. 15-16pp.

Re: Question regarding the day after
We chose not to do one but only because we had 80+ OOTs and the cost was out of hand!!!!!! Plus we felt a lot of people were leaving on flights and/or wanted to do their own thing so it turned out to be fine. We ended up sleeping in and seeing a few people downstairs before we left and that's it! I do think its a nice touch and would have done it if we weren't paying for practically the whole wedding!

I know how you feel but keep this mind -- at least 10 percent of the people won't come down for breakfast and/or won't eat. So if you do something guarantee 10-15% less.
Also people come down at different times so you wil never have everyone together.
If you don't want to ask for the room I will do it for you. Trust me -- if no one else is booked in there it doesn't hurt them any to let you use it.

Thats true. If no one is booked there then why should they care right...i am so bad with these things but FH was so proud of me with the shuttle.

Re: Question regarding the day after
30 is a decent amount of people. I booked the brunch for 11 which is checkout....this way they HAVE to leave at that time and noone has to get up early for breakfast.

Re: Question regarding the day after
I did a brunch the next day and was SO glad I did My hotel where the OOT guests stayed provided a continental breakfast but we wanted to have everyone together. Also, the continental breakfast was only served until 10 so when we booked a private room for a brunch we had it until 12:30 which was great since the wedding ended very late so people slept in.
I highly recommend doing something the day after if it's in your budget!
