R there any girls who are presenly living with FH?
My Fh wants to move in with me, but I live at home with my family. It is just my mom, and 2 brothers. There is room in the house, but I am hoping that this change will bring a positive effect on planning the wedding. For instance, ie.....like having him come along to meet the vendors and stuff like that.
Where you girls comfortable with living together before the big day?

I've lived with my FH for over 2 years, and I don't think it's had any negative effects on the wedding planning at all! If anything it has made things easier, like you said.
It's all about what makes you guys feel comfortable....

We live together also, only since this past October ...only two months later we got engaged!
It gave us a good idea on how we 'cohabitated', so to speak .. we get along really well. Its making financial sense for us, too.
I LOVE being with FH everyday! We lived 1.5 hours apart and I used to miss him SO much during the week! He sacrificed a lot to move to Westchester to live with me (he's the LI native) and that's why are wedding is being planned there.. Living together is helping with the planning also!
I guess the ONLY think that's going to be weird is the night b/f the wedding ... I told him we can NOT be together that night! SO that's goign to feel weird, we've gotten so used to being together now!!

I absolutely love living with my FH - it brought our relationship to a new and wonderful level. I would highly recommend it (but I know it's not for everyone).
But since he would be moving in not just with you but with your family, how does your family feel about it?

In my personal experience living with my FH was the best decision I made. I think it is a great idea as long as their are no negative effects that you foresee.

I've been living with my FH for 2.5 years. We both moved from our parents house into our own house and I think it's the best thing we ever did. I know some people still have the view that you shouldn't live with a man until you're married, but I totally disagree. As much and as well as you may know someone, there are always new things to learn about them when you live together. Chances are, the things you learn won't change the relationship much, but you will have to make some adjustments and probably have a few arguements, and I fiure I would rather do that before I say 'I do.' As far as getting your FH more involved in the planning, don't hold your breath. lol! My FH is a wonderful guy, but he's just not into the whole planning process. It can be a bit frustrating at times, but no amount of whining is going to change him, so I just don't bother. I've used this as an opportunity to spend more time with my mom, she's been great about going to vendors with me. Even though I haven't lived at home in years, her 'baby' is still getting married and I don't want her to forget how important she is to me too.

I've lived with my fiancee for almost two years now... its the best! we are sooooooo close and do all the planning together!! Go for it! What's the worst that could happen....

I also think that FH and I moving in together was a great decision. It was mainly for economical reasons, but if we HADN'T moved in together, I probably would've dumped him! When we were living apart, he would get so wrapped up in playing his stupid video games or watching football that he would forget about calling me! (he's such a guy like that)

I truly adore living with my FH. It has brought us closer than I could have imagined and I love going to sleep next to him and waking up every morning to him. Actually I find it hard to sleep without him when he goes away on business trips now.

I've lived with my FH for over 3 years now. It started when I got a job in Manhattan and moved into Queens and he was still going to college. His trip out to Bellport everyday was too much so he just started 'staying over periodically' which was from the first day I moved in and basically he never left!! And I wouldn't have it any other way! I love living with him. I've always felt that I could never marry someone that I hadn't lived with! And now I'm sure of everything!

FH and I have been living together for the last year. We did it bc we spent almost every night together while each of us paying rent for an apartment. So for us it made sense to move in together.
If you are not 100% confident that it is right for your relationship don't do it. As much time as we spent together before we moved in together, there was still an adjustment. I wouldn't change a thing... I love waking next to him every morning.
Living with family will definitely add a different dimension to living together if you have never done it before. Think very carefully about it before moving in with mom.

I live with FH...in his parents' house, but not in the same room though....I sleep in the spare bedroom until we get married.

We lived together about a year before the wedding! I was nervous at first about doing it, but we really needed to save $ and paying rent for 2 apts was not helping. I am so happy that we decided to move in! Being with him everyday helped us REALLY get to know one another. There are a lot of things that you have to get used to and a lot of stressful issues, like combining accounts and paying bills... Now that we are married we have already worked out all of those issues and we can just enjoy each other and being married.

We have been living together for about a year and a half now. It is probably the best thing that has happened to our relationship. Mind you, every situation is different. I was from Manhattan originally and he from Long Island. After 3.5 years of dating I wanted someone that I could see whenever I wanted, at any moment, without it being an ordeal. I didn't like the distance between us because it limited our time together.

We are living together almost 4 yrs. I would have NEVER EVER married him if we didn't live togetehr first.
