goofin more So fed up with Extreme Anti Bush antics.. I can't be the only republican around. Even I admit to disagree with Bush on items.. but the all out smear stuff I hear is annoying. He wasn't THAT bad. He did good.
Remember those Americans held hostage by China?
I sure as heck remember 9/11
I must be alone or like they say.. it's so PC to hate Bush and so 'in' to bash him that's become epidemic.
I personally think Kerry's a FOOL. Would have appreciated a race between Bush & Dean or Bush & Clark.. but Kerry? *sigh* how pathetic.

Hey- I voted for Bush- I think he's been good in the face of terrorism and even Iraq- but I think he is lying to us based on the economy.. I'm an independant- I don't need to agree with a political party- I can weigh the issues and then vote- b/c I'm intelligent enough to make my own decisions, not have BUSH or KERRY make them for me.

Just FYI had I known of another viable contender I'd have thrown them up there.
Sorry didn't mean to leave out the other parties on purpose.
I used to think like you.. I hope I still do. I have been known to look at democrats if their platform is solid and the republican is a sorry mess. I just found that over the years.. I RARELY voted democrat and mostly voted republican. It wasnt until I moved to NYC that I offically chose a 'party'.

WOO HOO!!!
Bush has been lying about more than the economy...and I'm not sure why the media got all riled up with Clintons lies and not Bush's (which IMO were much worse than Clintons - although I was pissed at Clinton too)
there is NOTHING wrong with questioning the government...and keeping them on their toes!! even Washington was criticized when he sided with Hamilton over Jefferson...no politician should be immune from this no matter how much you like him...don't turn a blind eye!!

Personally I think Gore would have followed rules of civiled stupidity.
Geez.. lets not go blame anyone just yet. Well it 'SEEMS' it could have been Bin Laden but.. well we can't prove it so I wont say a word.. Oh I can't come out yet? National security.. ? Well, I'll just stay in my bunker and not force the issue cause Im too important to lose.
I feel Bush felt as angry and emotional as we all did. He did the right thing at the right time. He pushed his Security people to let him out. He talked frank (yah I know he says stupid sh!t but then I was willing to hear it). You may call it a politically wise move .... like Hillary running for Senate in New York... but the point is.. Im GLAD it was Bush. JMHO
(now I know you'll all disagree and point out so called flaws in my point and even call me a blind fool without saying the words.. but that's what I believe, period. In regards to 9/11, thank GOD we had Bush)

To me and this is what i know of him...As VP he was a very passive person. But apart of me still wanted to see how he was going to be when he had to rise to the occassion (i mean how he was going to act during the debates) When i watched the debates and such back then, he, to me continued to remain very wishy washy....Not like a strong leader at all. He didn't seem that interested in our military at all.
So that is why i was glad that when 9/11 occurred i was glad a strong military, republican person was in the office.
edited ...i think i would vote for Kerry way before Gore...

Also, I thought Gore was an idiot.. which means I really believed he was more of a fool than Bush!!!!
I didn't like Clinton has president one bit.. I HATED those 8 years of HELL! I hated watching neighbors, friends and family lose jobs when bases closed. I hated that my own Financial aid for college got taken BACK for readjustment because of Clinton.. I hated him period. Idiot smiling thump pumping fool. But that's just my opinion of him. So when little Gore came out to play, no way in hell I'd vote for him. That little pissant no backbone turncoat fool. No way.
heh
A bit too honest with that.. but there you are. $.02
If yer gonna git fryed, go fer it!

first...I didn't vote for Bush or Gore...I did the best thing I could do when 2 idiots were running...I voted Nader!!!
second...I think its very unfair to presume that Gore would not have taken action...most VPs are pretty passive...to the public...hell anyone seen Chaney? BUT Chaney is calling so many shots even though we don't see him...
also Gore was not totally with Clinton in policy..a big reason he did not have Clinton help him campaign...(a losing point for Gore probably)
there is a great book of essays called 'What If?' and it really puts things into perspective...you get nowhere debating what if

I don't really understand your 'what if' point
But it was m understanding that Gore was not a Pro-military person nor was he a Pro action type of guy.. That was the feeling i got from him at that time and that is why i said i am glad a person with a lax opinion of our military was not our president when military action and aggressiveness was needed

Perosnally I think Bush is an A$$ , I voted for Gore. I'm sure like any great leader of our time he would have like Bush rose to the occasion after 9-11. even Guillani who ERVEYONE hated before Sept. 11 rose to the occasion and became a hero. That troubled day forced all our leaders to stand strong together regardless of past practice... Okay back to Bush..I think he's a monkey wild cowboy puppet whose strings are pulled by his idoitc bible belt beliefs. He went in Iraq not for weapons of mass destruction but to clean up his Dad's mess from the 90's. Where are the weapons???? Please tell me?? After the Gulf war 90% of the country's capacity was down, and most of the intelligence to make these weapons destroyed. He wanted to make a point knowing that 2004 was an election year...
What about Bin Laden???? Hello wasn't he the mole in the entire Operation???? Why have we put off the search for him and concentrated soley on Hussein?
GB is just a rooting tooting cowboy who can barely make a speech without mentioning 9-11...he'll use that as his claim to fame forever and pull on the heart strings of hurt americans.
Don't even get me started on his veiws of absintence for teens as birth control, the drug war, and gay marriages!!!

I love this one. The whole post was good.. straight out opinion! BRAVO!!
But for this.. may I say something. Hussain was a weapon all on his own much as Hitler was. Each man or woman willing to strap on a bomb to commit mass suicide is a weapon. Add them up and that's a lot of people dead. Are you waiting for the big bad nuke? I really dont care if it never shows up. Getting ride of Hussain was the RIGHT thing.
No one thought a Boeing 737 was a Weapon of MAss Destruction.. but I can tell you personally .. it did a HELL of a lot of MASS damage on 9/11
Finding rooms filled with ready made strap on bombs is NOT good. A ROOM FULL. The amount of exposives in there could level a small town. Smart man tho.. Hussain had them hit with smaller targets over and over and over again.
How many dead does it take to be a weapon of mass destruction? Is going into a house saying 'THERE ARE DEADLY WEAPONS IN THERE' and only coming out with a 5 year old and a sharp blade just not qualify as deadly? Because to the mother of that 5 year it was very much deadly. How many dead? 10/100/10000? If taking him (hussain) out saves just one life.. then it was all worth it.

I agree that taking him out was a good move... I have a friend who fought in the Gulf and the stories he tells about torture and inhumane treatment would make your skin crawl... He was a total monster...
What bothers me is that he(GB) uses these 'weapons' and '9-11' as a front...if he's worried about genocide or terrorist activity say that and not use 9-11 as a tug on our humanity. Fact is he knows that Americans will not support Over seas actions unless it directly effects us. We're selfish we want whats best for our country and we could care less about the troubles of our world families. The only time we get involved is when our trade or oil is in danger... Money truly does rule the world. sorry...going off on a tangent ...after being in school all day with 5th graders...it's great to exercise my brain!

The reality is that yes, GW did clean up what his father didn't have the time to finish because too many LIBERALS voted for Clinton. Now, while the economy was booming under Clinton, it was also a post war time. Which historically, brings about prosperity. However, Clinto was too afraid to deal with any international events (Bosnia, Africa, Cuba just to name a few) So instead, he did nothing and let ethnic genocide take place. And I am still waiting for universal Health Care that Clinton promised me in his first 100 days of office.
The truth is that any political person is never going to satisfy EVERY or even MOST people. For goodness sakes, if I agreed with everything the Catholic Church said, I would be a gay bashing lunatic! On the contrary, I embrace same sex marriages and yes, I do use Birth Control! Go Figure!
All I know is that I will be voting for Bush this time around! And I look forward to Guilianni kicking Clinton's A$$ the next senate election!
