So fed up with Extreme Anti Bush antics.. I can't be the only republican around. Even I admit to disagree with Bush on items.. but the all out smear stuff I hear is annoying. He wasn't THAT bad. He did good.

Remember those Americans held hostage by China?

I sure as heck remember 9/11

I must be alone or like they say.. it's so PC to hate Bush and so 'in' to bash him that's become epidemic.

I personally think Kerry's a FOOL. Would have appreciated a race between Bush & Dean or Bush & Clark.. but Kerry? *sigh* how pathetic.

Exactly, and that's what so annoying! I work in a very large firm full of up class liberals and they try to outdo each other in cracking jokes and making comments about him. In certain circles it's just uncooth to be anything else but a Bush hater, NYC beeing on of thoses places. Frankly it's a little tireing!

we got you, you a Democrat or what ever, and you hate Bush. In the mean time, has it not been for him we would still sit here with our tail beetween our legs waiting for Sadaam to slap us some more!

Mind you, I STRONGLY disagree with some of his pocilies, but overall I think he did a good job and finally did somethign to show the world that we are not just going to take constant slapping from thoses MF terrorist a$$ holes!

Just when the war broke out, one of my friends in the office overheard this one stupid b88ch saying: 'oh, i hope Saadam does win. That would show that Bush, hahahaha!'

How disgusting, how can someone be so unpatriotic!

That's it, I said my peace!

The reality is that yes, GW did clean up what his father didn't have the time to finish because too many LIBERALS voted for Clinton. Now, while the economy was booming under Clinton, it was also a post war time. Which historically, brings about prosperity. However, Clinto was too afraid to deal with any international events (Bosnia, Africa, Cuba just to name a few) So instead, he did nothing and let ethnic genocide take place. And I am still waiting for universal Health Care that Clinton promised me in his first 100 days of office.

just had to chuckle!! did you think the liberals wouldn't vote for Clinton? thats a given...it was too many moderates and conservatives that got clinton in!!

and Clinton did follow world policy regarding genocide...unlike Bush...why even have a UN if we are going to take away its power? Bush is making the UN weak...and look back at what happened when the League of Nations didn't have the power or support it needed - it LED to the rise of Hitler and Nazi Germany...

and the reason that only Republicans are being bashed...is because there are barely any democrats in power...

and btw...the Republicans threw out Clintons health care plan...and thats a very liberal desire to have... sounds like you could be swayed to the dark side...

I don't really understand your 'what if' point

But it was m understanding that Gore was not a Pro-military person nor was he a Pro action type of guy.. That was the feeling i got from him at that time and that is why i said i am glad a person with a lax opinion of our military was not our president when military action and aggressiveness was needed

I just don't think its very fair to anyone...gore...nader...clinton...dole...to debate 'what ifs'

saying gore is not pro-military is a bit harsh...I don't think any leader is anti-military...just for smaller ones...which BUSH said he wanted in the 2000 election

Personally i think we have to (especially now) think about 'what if's' when deciding who we want for president.
If the past 4 years has taught me anything i need to think on some level 'what if'...

But i agree...no i don't know for sure what others would have done...but based on their stances during the election..well...thats i all have and that forms my opinion....what else do i have to judge this person with?

I certainly can't vote for someone with the mind set..I hope they will (when elected)...despite what i see and hear from them now

what's really bothering me is that I haven't seen other reasons why Bush is a good president besides the his military policy- what about women's right to choose? what about his taxation policies? what about the fact that he is pretty much reducing to nothing the social safety net we hold dear as a society?

why is it, you either love bush and hate osama, or the coverse?

good point..ultra conservative right wing people are running the country...but don't bother... it's like talking to a brick wall. I'm a democrat and mostly liberal on alot of issues, conservative on others. No one is gonna change my mind and nothing is gonna change thiers. Its a moot point even discussing this. Republicams are gonna bash the liberals and democrats are gonna bash the ultra conservative. You are gonna vote for whoever you feel would do a good job and so am I....whats the point?

I don't know- the way I see it is the majority of people on this board are middle class- and we are the ones that stand the most to lose.

I disagree on some level in that i guess from the above it appears i am a republican? I dunno....maybe on some issues...but not all. I guess for some it is a clear, black and white issue..if you are a republican vote as such..same with democrates. I, on the other hand, am a people person and i vote for the best (IMO) candidate. I have voted both republican and democrate. I am bashing Gore...IMO i thought he was a terrible candidate... I don't know who i am going to vote this time..I am leaning towards Bush but i will need to educate myself more on the final candidates before i make my decision.

And HOW DO WE EVEN KNOW...if 9-11 would HAVE EVEN HAPPENED..if Gore was prez? We don't know...so 'what would we have done if he was prez' does not even apply, not a valid argument.

Yup he said on 'meet The press' he was a war president. Hey buddy, thanks for the heads up.. I guess 'war president' was not a good 2000 election campaign slogan....

I know I am way in the minority on this, even among liberals, but I'll say it - the war in Iraq was illegal under international law. If ANY other country in the world did what we did to ANY other country, the US, along with our allies and the UN, would have intervened. A country can not just decide that we don't like the way a dictator is running his country or treating his people. Most of the governments on the face of the planet are NOT democratic. If we were truly to argue that we have the RIGHT to remove a dictator who is committing human rights violations and take over that country for any period of time, we should already be in China, North Korea and Iran with an ever growing list of South American and Middle Eastern countries to follow.

Hell, we couldn't even put Pinochet on trial for the attrocities he committed in his own, and neighboring, countries for decades, let alone actually remove him. And he was the same kind of crazy as Saddam.

Liberal or Conservative, I have to say, I don't think that calling candidates idiots, morons, or monkeys leads to intelligent debate. I enjoy hearing other people's perspectives, but I am not interested in getting into a pi$$ing contest with anyone. Maybe we can try to be a little more respectful of each other

Becky, I could not agree w/ you more. On all your points.

we should already be in China, North Korea and Iran with an ever growing list of South American and Middle Eastern countries to follow

And who's to say we aren't?

I dunno I'm one of those government consipracy people. If I was prez, I would expose all out dirty secrets and then resign.

I am always interested in people who are conspiracy theorists..
But just curious don't you think there are things even our president doesn't
know...Lets face it there are a lot more powerful people then George

Sometimes when i think about it..But i think some of these 'secrets' if there are true
...our president has very little invlovement.
And then again on a smaller level..yes i am sure there are things he knows.

But i am more afraid of the former rather than the latter

Perosnally I think Bush is an A$$ , I voted for Gore.

Okay back to Bush..I think he's a monkey wild cowboy puppet whose strings are pulled by his idoitc bible belt beliefs.

He went in Iraq not for weapons of mass destruction but to clean up his Dad's mess from the 90's.
Where are the weapons???? Please tell me??
After the Gulf war 90% of the country's capacity was down, and most of the intelligence to make these weapons destroyed.
He wanted to make a point knowing that 2004 was an election year...

What about Bin Laden???? Hello wasn't he the mole in the entire Operation???? Why have we put off the search for him and concentrated soley on Hussein?

GB is just a rooting tooting cowboy who can barely make a speech without mentioning 9-11...he'll use that as his claim to fame forever and pull on the heart strings of hurt americans.

Don't even get me started on his veiws of absintence for teens as birth control, the drug war, and gay marriages!!!

I completely agree!!!

The realy enemy here is Bin Laden, what did invading Iraq have to do with 9/11, focus our efforts on finding and killing him.

Adn 9/11 or no 9/11, Bush is trying to take away women's rights, and I don't care what he has done with the military, or freeing Iraq, he is trying to take away my rights, bcause I am a women, and that is BS.

I'll bite.

heh.. because the democratic canidates look like school yard bulls who found out their last ruse was a flop?

They all cried about how Bush was wasting money in Iraq for Hussain who he'd never find, then he did. The democratic canidates have given me NOTHING but 'I'll reverse EVERYTHING Bush did..' ok.. and what will you DO for us?

I'll vote Bush because I may be an idiot but our economy seems to be improving (not great, not best, not even close, but not worse by large numbers either, and that's as fair as I can ask for 4 years)

Show me a canidate that REALLY has something to say other than anti Bush smear. I'm very turned off (as a voter) to someone screaming at me that the sky is falling. Stop screaming and offer some solutions.

I've pointed out time and time again, I disagree with Bush on several points. I don't have to LOVE my president and all he stands for. I just have to feel that I voted for the canidate that best reflects MY own personal wishes and is closest to what I feel is representative of my goals.

Kerry is so ... blah. I want a man with balls. Sorry.

Dean.. at least he has a pulse but he needs to show me some actual sensible planning.

Clark.. He had something going..but now I hear so little of him.

Liberman.. oh he was running.. ?

Edwards .. honestly haven't heard a SINGLE thing out of him that's been useful.

Bush.. he's screwed up? probably but you can ask the question a million times.. YES it was worth going to Iraq. No need to tie 9/11 to it.. the man had to be removed. Yes, there was indeed a link between 9/11 & Hussain but that's not the point. We, the american people, included myself know in our minds what is right, we just don't like (at least me) being told we 'have' to do it a certain way.

It's like when Mom used to say 'It will only hurt for a bit and it tastes like strawberries' it didnt taste like strawberries and it hurt for days.. I hated her. Was it good for me, yes. Did I need it, Yes. Am I pissed that she used lies and tactics to get to the goal, yes. But in the end, she was right.. grudgingly. I feel that some people are just pissed HOW Bush handles things. I can understand that but the question is.. is the end result what you really wanted? If not, then go for it.. whine. The Ends do NOT justify the means, and I don't think anyone is gonna forget it, but was it hurtful to the end result?

Show me a canidate that's even TRIED to give us a game plan other than all opposite Bush (which is an extreme and I hate/fear extremes).

I'll listen.
