when you got engaged, did any of your close friends ask you about the size (or other specs) of your e-ring?
i know it's rude to ask others and none of my friends asked me, but one of my guy friends seems to think that all girls talk about these things.

Some of them did ask - and I told them. It really didn't bother me. It also tended to be the friends who were on the verge of or thinking about getting engaged.

i dont understand why ppl are soo uptight about things like this...or even how much money ppl make. i never ask cuz i dont care..but im an open book. and for the most part, so are my friends. we have discussed ring size. dh always tells ppl we like* how much he spent if they ask. i dont see the big deal

Barb - i'm not saying it's a big deal ... as i said, i hadn't even been asked by my friends ... I'm just asking because one of my guy friends is asking me about it and i told him i'd get a better answer by asking you girls

People didnt really ask me but if my friends wanted to know I would tell them. If someone I didnt like asked, I wouldnt tell them my bizniz

no one asked me. not for the original ering or for the 2nd one. I guess I would say I dont know if I was asked I believe in talking less about things like this, as I and members of my family had some bad mojo come our way: the less said the better

I told my friends that asked, but I hate when a random stranger grabs my hand and asks, I find that very rude.
