Rave about your favorite products

Original post by Espo22

I wanted to rave about something new I used recently and how great it worked for me, so thought maybe i'd find out about other products people use that are amazing.

Ok i have VERY thin hair, and have used NUMEROUS products that say they give you volume and they really dont. Recently I used one that seriously gave me so much volume, never used anything that did it this well. My hair is so thin that i HAVE to wash it everyday bc it gets oily and looks bad. Today i woke up and it still had so much volume and looked great and not oily at all so decided to FINALLY give my hair a rest from washing it for one day. You're not supposed to but i normally have no choice.

I used Kerastase-expanseur extra-corps. Its thickening action for weakened hair.

Also use the Kerastase bain volume shampoo and then after put on this other kerastase thing called ciment anti-usure, its a fortifying treatment.

Also alterna hemp shampoo and conditioner is AMAZING. When i use the alterna shampoo or kerastase shampoo its such a huge difference when doing my hair after, usually it takes longer to do bc of the ends but with this the hair looks great and dont have to do much with it.

also loving the bare minerals faux tan bronzer.

Ok thats it for me lol, wanna hear about other products ppl are using. I figure as women we are always looking for new hair products, make up, skincare

ETA: jess posted kitchen products, these are more than welcome too, any home things

i have the same annoying hair as you lol. i haaate having to wash everyday. i literally get oily hair in less than 24 hrs. i love my hair straight so of course i have to blow it out everyday too unless i just put some mousse and let it air dry. im going to have to try those products soon.

what do you put in your hair before blowing btw?

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!!!!!!!!!!! Fabulous!!!!!!!! Get scuff marks off walls, floors, white shoes/purses. When Mom moved into an apt. with washable wallpaper, that looked disgusting, we cleaned it with Magic Eraser, and voila!!!!! Looked new!!!!!!! I'm told by the co. there are no chemicals in it. The original eraser, that is. I love them so much, I stop people in the cleaning products aisle, to tell them how great they are!!!!! Mary MOB

I agree with jnlax ....

Christian Diors Blackout Mascara is ammmmmmazing. Especially if you want dramatic lashes on a nite out. For more typical days out, Maybelline Lash Out is a classic good one, never clumps and is really good at seperating your lashes.

Also K-PAK is a great shampoo and conditioner for those girls with dyed or highlighted hair. It really retains the color and keeps your ends from splitting longer.

For foundation or concealer type coverage, Loreal Infallible makeup is reeeaaaallly good. Lasts me all day and really covers without feeling heavy. PLus its only 13 bucks at the drugstore, cant beat that!

For washing your face, good old fashioned Noxema in a jar is great! It leaves you with the tingly clean feeling and I never break out from using it. Sometimes the oldies are the best : )

Ooooh, and for deodorant , Secret Clinical Strength is great. I used in on my wedding day and it came through aaaaaaaaalllll day long and thru a lot of stressful moments!

Hmmmm.... I know Ill think of more lol

Sometimes, I don't like to wash my hair everyday but my hair is so limp if I don't wash it. My friend let me know about OJON dry shampoo and it's been awesome. I spray it into my hair, brush it out and 'voila' it's clean hair!!!

My other favorite product is the Urban Decay Bronzer in 'baked'
I searched high and low for bronzers that don't have shimmer and this is a perfect one!

Oooo i can really use that dry shampoo too. ITs annoying to wash it every single day and its not the greatest thing to do for your hair either

We have very similar hair types. I use Klorane dry shampoo and it works wonders! It even gives you a little volume. My hair is much more healthier now that I do not wash it every day. I used to use just plain old baby powder but this works so much better.

Klorane dry shampoo

Oh, that's the dry shampoo I have! I like it a lot and it has a nice smell.

I love the Kerastase line. I finally tried it, but I don't have the one you do, Denise. I have the one in the orange bottle...I definitely noticed a difference in the texture of my hair.

I also love Phytocitrus shampoo and masque...love how it makes my hair nice and soft. All of the Phyto products are great. Phtodefrisant is great when you blow your hair out.

I also love Logics mousse. I feel like it gives my hair some body when I blow it out and it smells so good too.

I just splurged because I've been trying to take care of my skin a little better before the wedding on Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser. I've only been using it about a week and I feel like my skin looks nicer (less blotchy) and feels softer.

I love Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo. I used to have to wash my hair every day, but now I use this and can stretch it out to every three days, and it looks super fresh every day in between! In fact I love all the Oscar Blandi products... I'm totally addicted.

I also love Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream. I used to have horrible dark circles under my eyes and started getting fine lines, but I started using this in December, and now all the lines have disappeared and I don't have to wear under eye concealer anymore.

I am sure anything oscar blandi is amazing. I would love to go to the salon and get my hair done there hahaha. He was on shear genius recently

My best friend is actually the East coast sales manager for the product line (that's how I got turned onto the products), and she gets her hair done by him and it always looks so amazing, I'm super jealous!

Oooo i am jealous too hahaha, they are supposed to be real good with color. I think thats where jessica simpson and many others go for color

Oh, I thought Jessica Simpson went to Rita Hazan. I wish I could have either one do my hair!

i use the kerastase expanseur extra corps i mentioned. Its a spray, and they say just to spray your hair from roots to ends while its still wet and then blow dry your hair

probably for cuts, not sure...its crazy bc rita is the most expensive hair dresser, doesnt she charge a couple hundred dollars just for a haircut. Although seems now like everywhere she goes, she travels with Paves so he probably always does her hair
