Ready for Flowers!
Ok ladies, I am booking my photographer/videographer and DJ this week if it kills me!On to flowers next, any recommendations? I want the lowest prices...I already know what I want so I'm going based on price and quality, but flowers are an area I'm NOT going over budget! :)

Wicks, they're amazing and gave me a quote $1,000 less than two of my house vendors.

Is there an advantage to using the house vendors? I can understand if you are trying to save on vendor meals, but florists don't stay for dinner, so what would be the advantage?

My BFF used distincitve and her flowers were pretty and unique..would Towers in Nesconset travel to the Swan Club? I live near Nesconset so bouquets would be no problem.. I'm just worried about the RH...how far will florists travel????

NO!
Learned this quickly. Originally I was going to book (unmentioned place) & one of their DJs gave us a price, we went back after we booked Leonard's. suddenly it was about 300 cheaper, asked why. He told me, they have to raise in house rates because they pay the RH a percentage. Happened with a few vendors. Just my experience of what I was told
Distinctive floral! And if you mention LIWeddings they give a break too!

Depends on where you live but local florists offer awesome pricing. We went with Shoreham Florist and got an AMAZING deal.
I agree. I went with a local florist and had a great experience. The personality between a mom/pop business and a large company is what sold me. Also, there is so much overhead at a large company and I didn't want to pay for it. My florist also made me a sample centerpiece before I signed a contract or gave a deposit.
