I'm thinking lately that I want to. Where do you plan on looking for a second dress?

Yes, I am having two dresses. I love dancing and I cannot dance in the first one.

I had thought about it but I don't think I could ever change out of my dress... I would also feel bad doing so since my mother purchased my wedding dress and I wouldn't want to upset her by changing out of it at the reception.

yes, that is another reason why i'm looking for a second dress - although i'm sure it's possible, i still want the second dress which will probably be more fitted and simple

I am not getting a reception dress.

But our reception is scheduled to end at 6pm and a friend of ours is hosting an 'after party' for us. I am considering getting a dress for the after party. I love my wedding dress and already I do not want to take it off.

I had an AFTER reception dress. I only wore it for the after party. DH & I, after the wedding was done paid the RH & DJ to stay an extra hour and a half. I wore the second dress for that. Pics are in my review & albums.

I wanted to because typically we do a couple different outfit changes. But I couldn't find any I like with a price point I like!

I can understand. SInce my wedding is in the afternoon and everything is at the RH my vision was always about the second dress and the reception. If I have an after party which would start at 7 or 8 pm. I was not walking around in the 1st dress. I did take things from the first dress and add it to the second. If you feel you need a second dress then go for it. I am also having another pair of shoes too. But I'm different. Do what you think is best and have fun.

I LOVEEEEE my gown but originally wanted to purchase another gown but now that I think about it ...I don't think I will get another gown.

We are having an after party at FSIL's home post wedding so I'll get something for that.

I spent a lot on my dress and I'm so excited to wear it, I want to wear it for as long as possible.

Same boat here. I love my dress but I think a shorter a sexy dance one would be nice. I think it would hurt my Mom's feelings.

Re: reception dress???

I am not planning on switching my dress for the reception, but we're having a day wedding and planning some sort of after hours event, and I want a cute white dress for that. I saw a short white one at DB that I liked, but I can't see spending a few hundred on a dress for just an after-part, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet.
