it is for a rh for the wedding && Ammos is owned by my xbfs cousin so I would never have it there but it is a nice place

I didnt have any particular website in mind otherwise it would have said nycweddings.com... all I said was to look at A nyc wedding website...meaning that you might want to do a search to find a website that has a focus on NYC weddings because they would have a lot more ideas and places on that website....Its the city there are soooo many places to pick from soooo it might be helpful to get more ideas!

gotham hall is absolutely gorgeous only thing is the surrounding area, i was just around there on friday bc i had to pick up something right by gotham and i was thinking how its gorgeous inside but the streets around arent great and the whole parking situation s*cks around there. Although once your guests walk in they'll probably forget about all that
Capitale-another amazing place, but same thing as above, not in a great area. Plus YOU pay for the electricity that night and infact you do it directly to the electric company, capitale puts you in contact with them and you work it all out with them
angel orensanz-another amazing location only thing is that when i read their website, it said that parties have to end about 11pm and music goes off at 10:30 so maybe call to see how true this is, but its what their site said
bridgewaters-amazing view and you can get a better price than many other city locations, beautiful place
penthouse on 5th-its open space so you have to put the work into it, but amazing view and more of a loft feeling. I know somebody who got married there and said they were great
Tribeca rooftop- amazing space great loft type space. And prices are decent compared to other city locations. I know it can be about $188 pp but might be off season not sure and dont know if that includes tax and gratuity. I wouldve loved this place but fh said no to the city bc his family would complain and they wont like the city type trendy food

Yes but if you go to that site and the vendors there you will find NYC reception halls. On that site the vendors are all NYC vendors...not LIW vendors likeon here

The plaza looks good...
I like the Waldorf Astoria even more
the angel orensanz looks veryy pretty too but the whole parties ending at 11 wouldnt work for us--
The crystal room in Tavern on the Green is nice
Tribeca rooftop- is pretty buttt---
I lovee the St. Regis
I I deff need to look into it---- if anyone has pics from it feel free to post them up

Not so sure?? I have never posted on liweddings.com only on NYCityweddings.com (where I registered) and not once has anyone except for LI vendors contacted me with emails, calls and mail. I am still waiting for that NYC related call (not!!!).

Thats because they dont know where you are getting married so all vendors will contact you. And some vendors are the same b/c they do weddings in the city and will travel and some only do city and vice versa

She wasn't being nasty. At least I didn't read it that way, that's the trouble with message boards sometimes, tone gets misinterpreted, but she really was not being nasty at all.
Anyway, back to your question- I also second another poster who suggested checking out the NYC board on the knot. Those girls are all actually getting married at all the places suggested in this thread so you'd def. be able to get tons of firsthand info from them. Good Luck and def. let us know what you decide!!!

Oooo puck building is great too
ALSO believe it or not the UN has a hall and the view is INSANE...and the funny thing is one of the most breathtaking weddings ive seen pics of, and not just one but many of them are at the new york public library

How many times can we go over the same thing...YES the boards that you post on are IDENTICAL! The vendors however are different, some are the same BUT on NYC weddings there are vendors that are strictly NYC and same with LIW
